A buddy just asked me for recommendations for a pistol grip stock for his M1a. I'm not that up on this particular twist, so I looked a few up for him. Can anyone comment on the models I've found? Are there any more that I should mention?

Im sure H20_MAN will be in here to offer an opinion, he owns a few of those listed!

The Sage EBR stocks are great, some people don't like the weight though.
VLTOR SOCOM is supposed to be pretty good as well.
I spoke with the owner of Desert Warrior Products a while back about which one he preferred, he liked both but for different applications (i.e. distance shooting v.s. CQB)

There is also the Juggernaut Tactical Rogue bullpup conversion if your friend is into that sort of thing.

The carbon fiber stock looks light it may have appeal. Did I miss the weight?

I personally love the look of the old M14E2 stock.

Not so long ago it was a choice between the GI E2, McMillan, LAW483 and those offering a folding stock.

Today there is a plethora of pistol grip stocks available to the M1A/M14 owner.

SAGE jumped in early, then TROY and Vltor ... now we have , McCannin, CM, SR, JT, M14.CA and more.
I'm sure Different has them listed in chronological order in one of his publications.

I am currently running two SAGE EBRs and a Blackfeather RS.

I really like my Vltor.

I did change the stock to a MagPul ACS and have since put the Tango down grip back on.  I tried an MOE grip but rather the Tango Down on this gun.
