OK...so I picked up an HK USC-45 back in late 2003 for around $900.  Always wanted to convet her to a semi-auto UMP-45, but never liked the look of them with the Grease Gun mags, so I put her on the back burner while I acquired other must have semi-auto weapons. Well, in 2008, I finally decided to take the plunge, so I picked up a UMP-45 FBI lower receiver and folding stock, got my tax stamp, and shipped everything off to HDPS for the conversion. I like the look of the factory U-45 with the factory barrel, but decided to just use my factory barrel since I already had a .45 suppressor. I'm very happy with the finished product. Hopefully I can get her out to the range next weekend...!!!

Here's how she looked when I first got her back in 2003

Here's how she looked after I got her back from from HDPS and added a few accessories

Here's how she looks now after having my SOT gun smith cut down the barrel to 7.87" and rethread the barrel so the EVO45 can that I use for my HK45 Tactical.

Well.....I took her out to the range to test fire and get my C-more red dot sighted in. What a blast to shoot. I shot her out to 25 yards this time, and consistent head shots were no problem. Using her with the can was maybe 10% quieter than shooting my USP-45 Tactical pistol with the same can. Likely due to the slightly longer barrel.

How much does a conversion like that cost?

Assuming you don't already have the UMP stock and lower receiver, I would say about $1k.

Sweet T!

How do you like the C-more on it?  Too high for a good check weld, or just right?
