Mine started life as a SL8-6  bought new.  I finished the conversion, through TBostic, in Jun 2010.

My camera did not like the engravings but in person they are very sharp and clean.  I just didn't feel like taking the pictures again.

Mine is a G36K SBR with a 12.5" original K barrel and front end.

I added the AR15 SBR just for size reference.  The AR has an 11.5" barrel,

For anyone looking for reference material on how to get one of these done look here

looks good.  I didn't know people coveted slr8s to G36s. Really cool!

I've never been a huge fan of the G36, or conversions for that matter, due to them looking a little Storm-Trooper-ish.....but I must admit that your G36K SBR looks really good. I would definately go for that particular conversion if I were going to do one. Thanks for posting the pics.

G36KC done by TBostic. The engraving all around looks factory. My MS3 sling wouldnt fit the sling ring on the left so I put a keychain split ring through it and it works perfectly. She's a bad bitch.

How mine looks "currently" w/ a 14.5" barrel with pinned flash hider

I have the IDZ stock enroute, whenever it will be here (i was told 3 months.. been almost 1 now) and waiting on TBostic's wait time to be alittle more "normal" to get the real conversion done.   Once its done I am going to convert it to the C model SBR.

EDIT:  forgot to mention, it now had a regular top rail with a red dot on it.  The dual optics is/was cool but the 3x scope...well... sucks.  lol

I've heard and read alot of people saying that they don't hold up well??

I find that hard to believe.

Where did you read that?  Mine doesnt have a ton of rounds through it, maybe 1000, but its holding up fine.

I don't baby mine but I also don't even come close to man handling it.

A guy on the HK pro forum has over 6,000 rounds though his.  He reports its running strong with no issues.
