Sen. Rob Portman co-sponsors a bill which will mandate five (5) years in a Federal Prison if you send/receive/publish a blueprint of a weapon.

When I take apart one of my firearms and have trouble reassembling all the pieces/parts back, I look on line and find blueprints, natch. Good stuff. Things get put back the correct way. Saves a lot of time and trouble.

Sen. Portman and 28 other US Senators wants to throw me in prison if I do this after they pass their bill S. 2123. Hellsfire! Even Sherrod Brown ain't on board with this!


What's OK is any and all pornography,blasphemy, treasonous images...you name it--EXCEPT for a blueprint of a weapon. Yup. This is a bill Mr. Portman wants.

This legislation could hold up in court if it only controlled export of firearms technical information, similar to encryption export controls.  It could face a first amendment challenge if it also limited information made available only in the US.

How long will take for enterprising individuals at gun shows to sell DVDs packed full with firearms blueprints.
