I still harbor a hope that SCOTUS gives us Constitutional Carry.

The fear of that is why all of the previously anti-RKBA agencies like the IL FOP and IL Chiefs Association came out in support of the FPA, as it allows the state (county, technically) the chance to vet an applicant and refuse them - as well as make some $$ off the process.

Constitutional carry would force them to actually operate under the belief that gun owners <gasp> weren't all criminals who simply hadn't been caught yet.

That's why I referred to SCOTUS, rather than the GA.

As for the results, I guess the hicks are tired of the city folks telling them how to run their lives from their condos on Lake Shore Drive:

As an aside, the trib cut the comments I posted the other day form work. Wonder if the new ones will stick.

The Lake County Board refused to consider it in the immediately pre-Heller days. They claimed that it was "outside the business of a County Board" - so what does that say about the other stated that passed it?

Of course, one of the Board members was the same b*tch who, as mayor of Grayslake, sent her cops in to try their hardest to find "criminal activity" so she could claim a public safety issue and close down the largest gun show in the stat.

WHen none of the gun dealers fell for the "I'm from out of state and forgot my ID" routine they switched officers and tried to buy ammo instead. Teo dealers out of over 100 sold them shells. That was enough for her to make her move.

I'd offer a creative suggestion of a gruesome and painful way for her and her complicit CLEO to perish, but I'll leave it and hope that fate pays them appropriately.
