Nice

I've shot at Elk River, but not Chanhassen.
Too far away. LOL

I don't shoot indoors much, but I go to Rogers when I do.

I live in Elk River and didn't even know there was a range here lol. I did just recently check out Total Defense in Ramsey. It was a pretty decent place.

I've got ballistic rubber blocks and steel in one of my outbuildings at the moment. Looking for some land to buy and turn into a place to shoot near Zimmerman if anyone has some leads.

Tis good to have a place to shoot.  I think back to when I worked in St. Cloud from 90 to late 90's.
Del Tone took care of outside.  But, Bills in Robbinsdale was my choice back then for inside, Metro in Blaine sucked for indoors.

Fast forward 30+ years
St Cloud has 2 indoor ranges now!
The metro has bucket loads considering we have lost a few of the indoor ranges ranges !
Dakota Sport and Fitness, Osseo, the place up in Forest Lake that burned up but I think the targets have been repurposed.
That small place in Monticello by Hoglund Bus

But no new outdoor ranges!

Most of the outdoor ranges you need memberships for.
Monticello, elk river, Zimmerman, princeton all need memberships.

Yes most the outdoor ranges require memberships.
Del-Tone is still open to the public.
Summer hours at Oakdale.

Most ranges require driving a ways.  The range with longer distances are competition orientated Like Gopher @ Harris, NorthStar @ Red Wing, Elk River Sportsman's @ Elk River.
Of course they have other ranges other than their KD (Known Distance ranges)

There are plenty of smaller clubs around that have good value for the most for the most part. Delano

Some require work hours such as range duty or other work projects.

Some have waiting lists.

Then you have public 1000 yd range south of New York Mills.  But there are indications they do not play well with their neighbors with bullets leaving the property.

Then there is the River Ridge down by Courtland that has 1000 yd range..

Iowa guy here. Come to Duluth to see family.  I've noticed alot is closed on Sunday or holidays,  or need to pay or shoot their ammo. Any good spots? Just need to help guys get zero and some fundamentals. Maybe make a connection for some guidance for family.  Not super weird type of relationship,  just a well respective and funny family member I'm introducing to firearms.

United Northern Sportsman is open every day except Holiday weekends because of the camping.

There's an outdoor range south of the golf course in superior, they've got some sporadic hours but a nice range.

As was said Dead on Arms as well, though I don't need to shoot indoors and save a few bucks shooting my own ammo.
