Texas doesn't hesitate to deal with the mobs, unlike NY, CA, MA, etc.
"Hundreds of Texas troopers went into the University of Texas at Austin on Wednesday, in the latest standoff before authorities and pro-Palestine college students. Police have arrested at least four demonstrators after warning them they could face criminal charges if they did not disperse, as reported by the Texas Tribune. The rally at the Austin campus was organized by the university's Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSJ) chapter." Interesting, at least on face. UT has their own police department. They usually don't like other's playing on their turf. I find it hard to believe troupers were on UT dirt without UT asking for assistance. UT, a liberal school, asking for assistance against liberal protesters - now that could be interesting.
Protesters claim UT called for assistance - hard to tell. Real issue is that it does not appear these were UT student protestors - so UT probably just wanted them off it's lawn. |

I'm waiting to see if the ultra woke DA in Travis County (Austin) will actually file charges on any of the people arrested.

If some thing goes down and DPS investigates and finds any wrongdoing on the part of the officers, they might find themselves having a hard time finding a job even as a school crossing guard. Officers in Texas are licensed through TCOLE. UT Police are state employees. As are Troopers. However they are separate entities.

Personally I always thought Texas was a little heavy-handed in Waco

They were told to control the situation and flooded the area with 200 riot geared and mounted officers. |

A Muslim funded front no doubt.
But I just don’t understand why the Democrats would let this happen. The optics are not exactly good. |

How many of those idiots were not even students at UT, I wonder.
I think we need to defund state funded university presidents and give the Texas DPS a huge raise. |

Cold night? Fire department and water hoses/spray. They'll get up and leave.
No tear gas? I "suffered" from tear gas on the south lawn of the White House the last time the Shah of Iran visited Georgia Jimmy. We had to just stand there and let the tears/snot run down our faces while the important people ran inside to escape the effects. We sort of thought it wasn't so bad since the politicians cut their speeches short to run from the gas. Did have some cleaning up to do when we got back to the barracks. Tears and snot leave some stains in those dress blues. Still not sure why tear gas is such a no no these days. If it works, they should be using it. |

No disagreement with that, but if the DA doesn’t file charges, the libtard protestors will become more emboldened. |

Turn on the sprinklers . The grass looks like it needs to be watered. Seems like it would be trespassing at this point. I have no problem with people protesting but they have to do it legally. What I have been taught by the protest on J6.

View Quote These protests are being led by communist agitators a lot of whom don't even attend the schools these protests are happening at. One of the 'negotiations' at Columbia is for non-students to leave. The same types that got Floyd riots going are involved in this, too. Antifa/commies and radical muslims are joined at the hip. The protest at UT was started by the on-campus Palestine Solidarity Committee. Solidarity is a commie buzzword and these groups are interlinked with other far left groups. https://utexas.campuslabs.com/engage/organization/palestinesolidaritycommittee |

“hundreds of troopers?”
I doubt it. I seriously doubt that any state, including Texas can mass hundreds of state cops on short notice to assist a university. There just isn’t manpower. |
