3 arrested after vehicle search turns up weapons cache, ballistic vestsThree people were arrested when police discovered a weapons cache and ballistic vests in a vehicle on the New Jersey side of the Holland Tunnel on Tuesday, officials told NBC4. Authorities arrested two men in their 50s and a woman in her 30s after finding multiple loaded long-range weapons, handguns, ballistic vests and a camouflage helmet in the vehicle. The trio, who may be from Pennsylvania, was initially stopped for a cracked windshield. A search of the vehicle turned up the weapons. The Joint Terrorism Task Force is assisting the investigation, a source told NBC4. |

so they are just "people" huh? no descrtiption at all i guess

I hope we can see some pictures of this haul. Probably a bunch of .22s and some Chinese airsoft gear.
From PA? Must have been those religious extremists......... the Amish
"ballistic vests" 99/100 times are $10 Chinese airsoft vests. |

Cracked windshield lead to a search of the vehicle that magically discovered body armor and long rifles.
I dunno...any more, I question the validity of just about everything gun related, especially if it comes from the media. |
Bet they are just passing through NJ/NY and everything is legal under the Firearms Owners’ Protection Act, but they get charged anyway.
Uh....why am I thinking a couple of arfcommers were headed for a range trip and got on the wrong highway?
"The Joint Terrorism Task Force?" There isn't any terrorism in this country. I think these people were just on their way to the range and made a wrong turn.

username? also looks like a trip to a shooting range. |

so, whats the issue? Im not up to date on what is or isn't legal in various states but it seems to me like they could just be going to or coming from a gun range?
feel like theres a lot to this story that isn't out yet..... edit - its both scary and sad what differences being in another state makes. Here in Texas (and many other states) this would be a pretty regular thing, yet in New Jersey they are being investigated by the joint terrorist task force...... |

I love how they always lay out the AR mags as if they're some kind of dangerous item in and of themselves to make the "arsenal" look more substantial.
They'd shit a kitten if they saw what most Arfcommers keep in the "little safe". |
I'll hazard a guess that this has absolutely nothing to do with terrorism.
Where are the "multiple loaded long range weapons?"
I see a shotgun and an AR pistol. |
Looks like the ar has a pistol lower.
Thank GOD they stopped that .50 cal tactical bottle opener. The whole "stopped for a broken windshield" thing is pure bullshit. |
You can get pulled for a cracked windshield? That's a dick move.

Although I wouldn't put my faith in FOPA protecting me to actually travel that route to...well, pretty much anywhere. It's pretty much SOP here to do full CSI-style sweeps for loose rounds/spent brass in vehicles before any trip that may extend over the Delaware. |

They are calling those ski goggles "night vision goggles" http://media.nbcnewyork.com/images/652*367/holland+weapons+arrest.jpg View Quote I take more than that on a normal range trip by myself. Also is owning tactical vests and helmets illegal in NJ? If not why even mention it, other than shock value. |

"Ballistic vest" somehow becomes "body armor."
It seems like they were just on their way to the range. |
