Quoted: Hannity would be a great politician. He'll say anything to anyone of the power players on the right to gain support. He's a great suck up and everyones best friend. Im not surpised you like him Hiram.
Savage is abrasive and rude sometimes especially if you dont agree with him but at least you know hes telling you what he really thinks.

Maybe, and Michael Savage and his type will never make it beyond a talking head because they wouldn't have a clue about working with somebody who they disagree with... which is what governing is. Its all wonderful in theory to take hard line positions and say look at me, I'm principled, I never compromise from what I truly believe... That is enviable, but it isn't realistic and it doesn't float in the real world. Bottom line, if you won;t compromise and work with other people for consensus, you will be marginalized, and you end up handing victory to your opposition. Nobody likes it, but it is reality, and it isn't going to change no matter how much you and I want it to. Its depressing as hell, especially when you witness it from inside the system and you see somebody you really though "got it" bend over and take it in the ass on something he stood for to get something he wanted more.
Bottom line... extreme liberals and extreme conservatives will never achieve true power because they are too blinded to the desires of the majority that they will never achieve defining positions... instead they will be on the fringe and be cultural icons. To what end? We can all look at them and nod and say Amen Michael... preach it brother! And then we look at everybody else and say why don't you get it... Michael does... without realizing that maybe Michael gets it, but doesn;t have a clue how to achieve it. And in the end, he is just a talking head.
Incidently, does anybody think his endorsing Bush was truly a principled decision if he truly feels Bush is at odds with his core conservatism... or is he doing what a sensible person would do, and recognize it is Bush or Kerry... and Bush is the better choice, even if disappointing? And isn't that the very type of compromise you deirde "centrists" for?
Like I said, I welcome his endorsement, but I think he is an ass. It serves my desired end.
