Looking for ideas on self defense items that metal detectors won’t pick up. I know metal ink pens and big cowboy belt buckles. I have some “CIA letter openers” but that is a weapon and I want to stay away from weapons.
Any ideas? |

FYI many places are not using metal detectors. New sensors look for any object that is consistent in density to a weapon, even a folded pocket knife, or 3d-printed object that has a certain density, or form. This triggers an alert for inspection.
They are usually two columns with lights on top, not a traditional "doorway". |

Cane Masters You cannot have it taken from you by legal means, not even at airport boarding They cannot ask you any questions about your abilities, or need for your appliance . They cannot ask you to justify your use Hickory has a density almost half again harder than oak it's cool |

3D printed pointy things. Oh and 3D printed "brass" knuckles probably would really suck to get hit with.
This video does a pretty fine job of inadvertently showcasing just how viable 3D printed puncturing weapons can be. How Dangerous are 3D Printed Knives? |

My wife and I were out last night walking downtown. As we walked past a bar she suggested a drink. I was carrying my Springfield SA-35 under my shirt and saw that there were 2 security guys with hand wands standing at the door. They asked me for my ID but never tried to wand me so I went in. Sometimes just looking people in the eye and being confident works better than anything.

It works if you simply can actually throw a decent punch. It will easily cut and wreck somebody’s face. These things are nasty. |
