Neil Degrasse Tyson? No thanks, I want a real scientist, not an affirmative action one who has sexually assaulted women. https://slate.com/technology/2018/12/neil-degrasse-tyson-sexual-harassment-allegations-response.html View Quote It is syfy.com, after all, but I wouldn't expect them to misspell astronomer. ![]() |

I call BS.....It's much more likely that it's just a particle of pre-animate matter caught in the matrix of their dyno-scanner, thus causing a minor energy flux that NASA mistakenly interpreted as a black hole spitting out something.....I've seen it a thousand times.

Well, that certainly challenges the theory that not even light can escape a black hole.

There was this Old Sc-Fi series about this Alien (non-human) race that left their machines all over the place. Humans found their machines and used them to go to other stars and such. I forget the name of the series or the author. In the end the mystery of where the Aliens (forget the name) went was interesting: Their entire race went to the Event Horizon of Black Holes until the Threat they were running from went away. Interesting premise. Hide using the Then known relativistic theories to hide for unknown millennia. While time In The Universe goes on for millions of years they are safe orbiting Black Holes for what will be for them only a couple of years. Then we come along: Homely Sapiens that finds a few of their machines and go exploring. We wind up, after several stories, finding them and saying, "You can come out now, the Bad Things are gone." So I'm going to say that the VeeGees (?) are coming out to see of the coast is clear. View Quote |

Probably a take-down detent from a build that got launched into another dimension.

Their funding is/was probably running low so they needed to report something interesting to get more taxpayer money.
Black holes are still just unproven theories, right. I heard it said scientists only know about 5% of what there is to know about or own solar system. Yet here we are looking at stuff 324 million light years away. |
