Quoted: Still one of the scariest and most amazing experiences of my life. Carried him into the ER in my arms, freaked out of my gourd. Told the lady he was having a seizure. She asked for his name and date of birth while hitting a button and saying people were coming out of that door to take care of him. In less than 30 seconds he had a team of doctors working on him. Quoted: Yep. He was acting weird as we were getting him ready for school, and then he peed his pants while sitting at the table. We weren't really sure what was going on, so we called his doc and she said he may be having a seizure. So we dropped the girl off at a friend's house while we took him to see her. On the way, he went into a full blown seizure - head back, body twitchy, frothing at the mouth, the whole thing. Gran mal style. Freaked me out as the wife was driving so I felt very out of control of anything. Couldn't help him, couldn't just mash the accelerator and go, nothing. We immediately went to the ER. View Quote |

Neighbor kid got rear ended bad by some guy while stopped waiting to turn. Mazda 3 totaled. They just brought home a 2009 Mitsu Lancer. Not a base model, probably the "Sport" edition. Just a NA, 5 speed, FWD, clearcoat on the roof, trunk and wing is shot, but not a bad looking car. Has an aftermarket muffler with a bottle type resonator off the side of it. Sounds decent, not ricey.

Very scary. I think he's only had 2 full blown ones since then. Mostly just "brown outs" where he's not there, and then he is. That's when we knew it was time for another evaluation and a potential change in his meds. He has grown out of it, too. We no longer need to keep an anti-seizure med kit with him everywhere he goes. |
