I'm from CA. The only good decision ever made by that state was sitting the whole thing out.

ETA-That being said, If the South had done what Lee was quoted as to have said, I would have fought with Johny.

I'd prolly started with the South since my ancestors were Choctaw and fought for the South anyway.

But a couple of years later when Lincoln suddenly decided it was about abolishing slavery and notthe States Rights, I'd have felt bad about my first choice.

I'm from Virginia, so I'd probably try to find some way to make myself useful to the southern cause. Perhaps doing Bobby Lee's laundry, or keeping John S. Mosby's tent and personal effects tidy and in good order.
