God I am so pissed.
Blue Cross/Blue shield of NC wants me to roll into a "silver" plan which gives a hell of a lot less coverage for 3x the price. Going to tell Blue Cross/Blue Shield that if they had wanted to keep me as a customer, they would have lobbied harder against Obama Care.

I received mine last week, grandfathered in with a roughly 30% increase from 290 to 371 - individual plan, 50 years old.

Got my From BC/BS in my state, and in order to keep the same plan (which equals out to bronze coverage) my premium is increasing 100%.
Im dropping it and taking the fine the first year. (Im young and in goo health.) |

FED VIP BC/BS, I hate to say it but I'm kind of glad I have the same health care as those dick eating politicians. No rise in cost and excellent coverage. I do feel bad for the rest of you though
 . I'll be fucked if they ever change it, my son has asthma, his coverage alone is worth thousands yearly.

Some of these same insurance companies tried to speak out about what was coming. The feds threatened them with jail time for a half dozen bullshit things and shut them up. Some have stated that the fine can only be stolen from a federal tax REFUND. If that is true, and for whatever reason you increase your withholding such that you have to pay some federal tax on April 15 instead of getting a refund, how will they get the fine? Note that what you pay in federal taxes is not determined by your refund/required payment on April 15th. |
