In Texas the county sherrif’s office is a purely political position. Does not require any LE experience.
Fortunately, municipal police chiefs are typically hired either by the mayor or the city council and thus less prone to result in inexperienced idiots. |

Williamson to the North, and Hayes to the South are both VERY Red and very pro-enforcement of laws, regardless of politics. If she can't enforce the laws and actively works to subvert them, she has no business being in Law Enforcement, let alone as Sheriff. |
