have both, both are VERY nice triggers. Having said this, MBT is $99 if you're not in a hurry, the SSA just can't compete price wise...

SSAE IS LOVE
SSAE IS LIFE which one is for some control as long as it doesnt affect him, which one is for absolutely no compromise? |
I gave away an ssa-e and got more mbt's.
ETA: Wow, didn't expect those poll results. |
Both are nice, I'm not sure if I could give the edge to one or the other. If you said SSA-E I'd give that one the nod because it has a slightly crisper but lighter break.
I've got more MBT's than SSA/E's but that is because of price point. It also has to do with what I am using the gun for. If you are hunting, or bench shooting the two stage is nice, but for blasting or fast shooting, a two stage doesn't offer much advantage if any. |
I have both and strongly prefer the pull characteristics of the Geissele.
I have two Larue rifles and a ton of their mounts, so I'm not anti-Larue or anything. However, I won't buy another MBT. |
I have both. Sorta. I have an SSA-E in a precision build, and MBTs in almost everything else.
The MBT is a really good trigger for the money, but I prefer the feel of the the narrower trigger face on the Geissele. |
I have the G2S and MBT. I like the MBT better, particularly with the heavy spring. That said, I will be trying the SSP asap.
I noticed that my MBT had less creep than my SSA-E so I sold the G trigger. YMMV
I've got all SSA's...but the Larue is nice and less expensive
Just replaced the SD-C in my 6920 lower with an MBT, love it.
I have an MBT and SSA-E, and would prefer the SSA-E with 1 lb less pull weight. Both triggers are excellent btw.

I have the SSA-E and the MBT. They're damn near indistinguishable.
I chose MBT on price point alone. Can't be touched at $99. Edit. I do prefer the flat blade trigger of the SSA-E and have hinted to mark multiple times to make a flat blade version! But I would still get the MBT because of the price. |
DMR>MBT>SSAE>SSA. At least in my experience. I don't know my SSAE and SSA have way to much creep. Have like 6-7 mbts and they are all perfect. DMR is on a whole other level.

View Quote SOCOM uses the SSF, which is the full auto version of SSA. And believe me, SOCOM can switch out triggers any time they want. Yet, they're still with the Geissele. |

I have both.
I prefer the wider face on the MBT. If it had been available when I bought my ssa-e I wouldn't have been able to compare them directly. Bought 3 of the mbt-2s now and still only have the one ssa-e. |
I only rock the MBT. Can't say anything on the other as I went from stock to it and never looked back.
Op just try one out of each and go from there. The thing about MBT's are they multiply much like black rifles |
Only have experience with LaRue's MBT and I'm satisfied with it.
Why anyone would buy mim/cast(whatever G's are) and pay more over tool steel is beyond me...
Pulled the trigger on the MBT a few times, felt better than a basic trigger. Nothing compares to the SSAE though
I think I’m going to go SSAE. I was concerned because I’ve seen where people say it’s too light but after watching a bunch of videos I think it’ll be awesome. Same with like a PPQ trigger and people saying they won’t carry it. I’ll carry that shit all day.

Poll results exactly reflect my sediments on the triggers.
MBT is a tiny bit better than SSA. That said, SSA-E is a tiny bit better than the MBT. Another data point to consider. If you test 10 SSAs vs. 10 MBTs, the MBTs will be closer to design spec, pull weights, etc. |

I have both, both are great triggers...for me it comes down to price...I love Guiessle, and LaRue products and will continue to buy from both...

Wilson TTU or AR Gold is the best choice.
Geissele is definitely better than Larue. A geissele g2s for $100 - $120 is the best value/trigger you can get, I can't tell the difference between a SSA-E and G2S. AR Gold is phenomenal, feels like a sub lb. bolt gun trigger. Wilson TTU is amazing, I trust it the most, everything about it is right. As far as I'm concerned for HD/range, use the stock trigger or get a Wilson, those are the best choices to me. |
LaRue I like the trigger bow more. Break feels nearly the same between my SSA and MBT.
I have and love both and both are really nice. But the MBT wins hands-down on price as they're less than half the SSA's price.
