 Gun Rights Activists Threaten Violence This new usage seems to have started with gun rights activists intimating or promising violence if the government were to “come for their guns.” The full phrase has been used this way before; for example, in June 2018 someone started a Reddit thread titled “Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo” featuring a 2012 Facebook post by Gavin Newsom, then California’s lieutenant governor, telling the National Rifle Association, “we ARE coming for your guns.” The implication made by the poster was clear—that any such effort would result in civil war. |

Maybe they should go back to their roots of cheerleading convicted child rapists and start demanding Justice for the murder of Jeffrey Epstein.
If Epstein is to hot of a potato, maybe they can blame the holocaust for the child porn on Paul Krugman's computer. |

Isn't that the message the gun community is trying to convey? Come for our guns and we will shoot you? Is there any argument that the conversation has gone hot? Nothing else has worked

If I ever pull the trigger on someone I'm scared to death to meet my maker having unnecessarily killed someone. I don't even kill the mice I catch in my house. I know in my heart the kind of man I am and I feel comfortable with people like me having any kind of firearms, and I will stand up for that because I believe other freedoms like religious freedom and speech are dependent on the 2nd amendment. I hope the conversation becomes a lot more heated and people are not afraid to speak how they feel, if these organizations try to shut that down, it will boil over into violence. |

It's not just about "gun rights", and wanting to be able to exercise your rights does not make one an "extremist". I would say that Government denying your rights with threat of death already constitutes violence so it's not the people who are starting that shit. Responding in kind might be the only rational response at some point if people are serious about keeping their rights.
Once gun rights are gone, next comes speech, and all the others in short order. They are all already being chipped away as it is. "Extremist" is misused these days to the point of not meaning anything, just like "racist". Our country was founded by "extremists", then. Oh well. If people wanting to keep their rights are extremists, they are in good company. |
