Less total footprint, more drive through lanes (which is in demand), an overall optimized experience. Why not?

Original mission style building and 59/79/99 cent menu was peak Taco Bell.

No fast food workers at a window to rage against and assault?

Ugh, how nasty are those elevators going to get - from the workers and the customers?

Never had Taco Bell so I won't get to experience this either. Not disappoint.

Meh. There was a McDonalds down in Miami that had the drive-thru lane separated from the actual restaurant and all your food came out to you on a conveyor belt back in the 80's. And Taco Viva was a hundred times better than Taco Bell.

View Quote What do you mean? There are 100 reasons why this is a good move. I want a party pack now... |

They haven’t had anything that doesn’t cause explosive diarrhea since 1977.

So the buildings will cost 3x as much and probably need more maintenance than current ones. I wonder where they'll make up for it. ??
Oh right, they will increase the price of their crappy food and then people won't buy there anymore. Can I short taco bell stock? |

Damn I guess it's been much MUCH longer since I ate Taco Bell than I thought. I had no idea they got rid of the Mexican Pizza. That was my go to food there.

And people thought Demolition Man was just a movie. HA!
This is how Taco Bell wins the restaurant wars... |

Being in MN , it has the added benefit of being harder to loot when there are riots now that it is a story up.

View Quote Yep, it’s crazy when something like this happens and you think to yourself. Why did it take them this long to come up with this idea. I think this is going to be game changing. |

Pretty hard to hold up one of these if you never see an actual face. An up-armored version will be along shortly to some locations.

How do the hard shell tacos survive being whisked through the tube by magnets and/or hot air? It’s all fun and games until the food door opens to an avalanche of jumbled taco fixins.

Quoted: I'm hoping it's run by robots. View Quote I can see it MUCH more pre-preped by a factory (even more soo then what gets shipped). This idea tho looks like it would take up MORE of a footprint vs where fast food typically slide into parts of a stripmall type center that plans for anchor store with a few side shops and maybe 2/3 drive through lots.... |

I wonder if there's an elevator to lift a disabled employee up to the 2nd floor? If not, stand back, here come the ambulance chasers
