when You can walk across that pond over there, we'll start celebrating your birth date..

never did, never will..just another day, while I understand doing it for children,
I Don't understand grown ups, anyone over 18 doing so..and some are just ridiculous about it.

ya know, I used to get depressed every year my number would go up. I'm like, damn I'm getting old... getting old sucks, where did life go? etc...

then I realized one day that it sure as hell beats the alternative. So many people aren't blessed to make it to my age. Enjoy life while it's here, live in it every day. Everything outside of this moment right now, past or future, is just your imagination.

I stopped caring about my birthday after I turned 21. Now, I do make sure I call my mom on my birthday, to wish her happy 'birth day.' I was 9 lbs and breach. Normal birth/delivery.

I got lucky and my oldest daughter was born on mine. She's turning 10 in a few days and this year I get to pick out the ice cream, haha
