The dude negligently discharges into the dirt on his first draw. His second shot is in the dirt because the gun is angled downward. He's got a completely dogshit grip on the gun and it's flopping around like a fish out of water with the gun nowhere near his eyeline. At distance he manages to miss a goddamn B27 from like 7 yards, shooting way high and over the fucker's shoulder. Do you know how bad you have to fuck up to miss a whole goddamn B27?
That guy is a fucking idiot. We are accountable for every shot we fire. There's nothing in that video that shows any awareness that you have to answer for where those bullets went. |

Shooting from a retention position is probably the best reason for people to take professional handgun training.
I like his methodology of keeping ahold of his shirt to keep his support hand clear of the muzzle. If he rotated his shooting hand slightly outboard his wrist would lock and would have more controlled recoil management from retention. I dont carry appendix...... yet. |

Even supposedly bad ways of carrying can be effective with enough practice.
I was roommates in college with an Israeli, he was revered by the other Israelis on campus, over time I learned he was a junior officer who had "done some stuff" (denied being in Sayeret Matkal and involved in the Abu Jihad and Sheik Abdul-Karim Obeid, but always with a grin). Everyone says "Israeli carry" is bad but he could get my gun from IWB (back of jeans) empty chamber to rounds on target faster than someone with a chambered round and their gun in hand. |
