I have three pairs of Grados for listening to music (SR60, SR80 & SR225). I have a pair of AKG for playing guitar through. I also have a pair of Koss Porta-Pros that I use with a Discman type player.

I'm using a OneOdio A70 bluetooth set for my home PC and they work great.
Takes about an hour to charge them about every 5-6 days. |

I have 2 pairs.
Sennheiser HD-6XX from Drop are probably the best headphones for the money. A little EQ and they sound all day amazing. Focal Clear - not quite as warm and the HD6XX, but amazing detail and clarity. Focal Elex from Drop if you wanna save some money. RME ADI-2 DAC for a great setup with parametric eq. |

I bought Bose after I experienced their noise canceling aviation headsets. Always used passive headsets before.
This time I was right seat in a TBM900. Just fired up the turboprop - high pitch whine, chopping the air, etc. very noisy. Suddenly it was instantly quiet. I freak out, start scanning engine instruments to see why the engine suddenly stopped. Turns out other guy just turned on the headsets. I was blown away. |

My Beyerdynamic T1. Played the audiophile game for a while. AKG 701, Senn HD650, ultrasones, couple others.
Trialed some DT 770s and 990s and liked the Beyerdynamic flavor enough I just jumped to the top of their line. I'd be surprised to find something significantly better enough to justify spending any more money on headphones. |

A recommendation for over ear for large ears. I bought the Bose 700, sound and noise are fine, but after about 30 minutes I get a earache/headache. Gave them to my daughter. I also tried the Sony-1000. Doesn't need to be highend <$500 Anything work for Dumbo? TIA |

I have an old pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones. I use them on flights so I can watch movies and actually hear stuff. I'm not an audiophile speaker headset snob. I'm sure there are better but I'm not willing to pay the entry fee for anything better

Play guitar and games for many hours each day. These are by far the best comfort over anything. Sound quality is decent and price is around $70, so it won't break the bank. These things have the lowest clamp force and I forget they are on. When they say they are over the ear, they are over the ear. A lot of over the ear headphones (even the expensive ones) aren't big enough and press hard on the lobes after an hour or so.

I'm not an audiophile, Bose QC 35 have lasted about six years. Pads have been replaced numerous times and I have hundreds if not thousands of hours on them.

I only use over the ear headphones when I'm gaming on PC, and I have a pair of Audio Technica ADG1Xs for that. They're great, although they're a little tired. Probably about time for a new pair.
