View Quote Aside from the fact that Richard Kuhn & Konrad Henkel researched/invented/produced nerve gases (namely GB, Soman) during WWII and then after the war Konrad and his father, Hugo Henkel (who literally looks like a cookie-cutter caricature of from a Steven Spielberg film), were both arrested for war crimes? But they were obviously rich enough to grease the right palms because they were given their company back free and clear like two years later after successfully graduating from "reeducation camp". Seriously though, I really couldn't care less what they or really anyone else were doing half a century before I was born. |

I don't know.
But some company sells thread locker similar to lock-tite, except the removable blue locker is in a red tube and the red permanent is in a blue tube. I could kick the guy who decided that in the nuts. |

The problem with Henkel Loktite products is the huge selection for specialty applications and the need to pay attention to what you're buying.
An example from MOP; bearing retention compound is not thread locker. Do not use on threaded joints unless you're prepared for an expensive salvage and repair. |

View Quote Brings back memories of fixing equipment in the food plant. Had five industrial bread ovens. Anytime you worked inside of them you had to use neversieze on the fasteners. We had it in gallon pails. That shit spread to everything you touched. Took a while to clean your tools at the end of the job. The guy we worked for was an asshole, so his office door knob always got random smears on the bottom. |
