I grew up in the UK in the 60’s and 70’s.
Meat was expensive. Everything was. Beans, and eggs, were regular protein subs. So, I grew up on beans. Still crave them, baked on buttered toast, as a comfort food. Good BBQ beans are…. amazing. |
