I didn’t catch their order other than their insistence that they get extra strawberry flavor in their lemonade, but they ate there so it was only food for them. There total was $36 bucks. There were thick, but not what I would consider Alabama level obese. I don’t eat fast food very often, but a meal for 2 is almost 40 bucks? I splurged on a bacon cheese chicken sandwich meal which was $12 bucks. I’d have rather put 6 or 8 more Washington’s with that and had 5 guys.

I spent $18.XX at Taco Bell today. It's all good though, according to the government inflation is only 3.48%

Oddly enough I just ate at Popeyes yesterday. Total was 12$. Something I notice is that everyone eating there is either extremely obese or elderly in general. Except me of course...

My wife and I went out to dinner tonight for our anniversary. American red stone grille.. it’s a chain, it was so fucking expensive I actually got annoyed over it which is something I never do. We tried to be conservative with our spending so we got…one appetizer (spinach and artichoke dip with tortilla chips) lemonade, coca-cola, turned a chicken Caesar salad into an entre, side of fries, and a chicken sandwich with fries. $75 dollars
I’ll never eat there again. |

The few Popeyes that Ive been in during work hours makes me wonder how accurate that posted sanitation score is. The last time I was in one, there was some kind of white milky looking fluid leaking out of one of the coolers that didnt quite smell "right". No way would I eat in one |

I had a whole salmon filet (frozen, one whole side of the fish) from Kroger that was $6.99.
I am old enough to be sick of fast food, and the price has pretty much made me completely give it up. It's not that I can't afford it, it just annoys me. |

I have yet to find any Popeye's that serves anything worth a damn.
Have a friend who insists it's the best though. He lived a few years in Louisiana, but I don't believe that lends him any extra credibility. I'd rank Cane's KFC Chic-fil-a Slim Chickens Zaxby's Bojangle's . . . . . . Way above Popeye's. I've never had Lee's or Church's but there are a bunch of them in the neighborhoods you would expect. Even Chester Fried Chicken at the boondocks gas stations have better chicken than what I've gotten from Popeye's. |

I spent $8 today at my local, family run BBQ. Got a big, delicious steak and cheese, with real steak, and a big pile of handcut fries.

Chicken Express seems to be the best in my area , IMO . You can buy just chicken pieces without having to pay for sides and drink if you want to .

I’ve built a handful of their stores. Once I turn over, that kitchen is an absolute shit show in about an hour.
Good luck to all of you that eat there. |

View Quote I can still find great deals on food around my area at mom and pop shops. The other day I had a massive bowl of pho with a bunch of meat. Ended up giving me multiple meals (it was take-out and the broth, meat, vegis, were all in separate containers) Cost me less than $10 with a drink and it was so much food. People need to stop going to massive multinational chains. They're always jacking up the prices and blaming it on supply chain issues, inflation, or higher minimum wage. There is a few privately owned mom and pop burger restaurants around me that pay their employees more than the big chains do and the menu is still significantly cheaper. |

My girlfriend and I made a rare trip through Wendy's today. In four years together we've had fast food less than once a year.
We got Baconator combos and my total was around $32. It's a good thing I was in my car sitting down. My wallet cried out in pain. Fuck that noise. I'll keep cooking at home. |

My wife and I quit cooking breakfast.
We jump in the car and go the 2 miles to McD's for two $0.50 steak and egg mcmuffins. It's what retired people do. Find cheap food. Ya gotta use the app! |

5 piece tender combo is $15 and change.
That same meal was only $8 a year or two ago! Shit’s gotten outrageous. |
