What's your buffer setup on your 6.5?
I found a 308 rifle buffer with three tungsten weights swapped in works well with a Sprinco Red spring. Helps close the chamber on sticky new BCG's. |

JP AR-10 Silent capture spring. I’ll need to look to see if it’s the H2 variant, as I got a great deal in the receiver set w/ SCS. The SCS was basically free.
Initial bcg did well until I started shooting extended strings of fire. It was already tight, and once it became dirty (100% suppressed), it wouldn’t cam over and go into battery. As a result, a few rounds had to be chambered multiple times. I feel pretty confident that those were the “flyers” I experience during load development. If I have the same issue again, I’ll play around with the buffer. Thanks for the info. |

This is my Odin Works 16" ultralite on a Bear Creak upper, BCG, and handguard.
Attached File I shot this today, 9 shots. Used factory ELDs 123 at 100yds, sighting in for deer season. The two shots are me, just not a steady shooter, just the rifle/guard across a block of wood and me holding it. Attached File |

Here's my old school DPMS in 6.5 Creedmoor that I bought in 2012. It has somewhere around 1700-1800 rounds on the odometer, mostly my reloads. This is an older picture when it wore a Vortex scope and before I modified the gas system from rifle length to extended length. It now wears a NF ATACR 5-25 SFP in NF rings directly attached to the upper.
Attached File Here's the target I used when working up loads for the Hornady 140 grain HPBT using H414. H414 doesn't give the highest velocities, but because it's a ball powder it meters well, and I meter all my reloads. I settled on the 39.6 grain load. For a metered load, I'm happy with the accuracy I get. Attached File |
