Ok Marshall, just sent an order in for M3 sight and high non-cant mount. +1 I ordered the M3 w/cant mount and 3x mag w/QD mount this morning and already got a email that it has been shipped ETA: I got my order today............ excellent service, ordered on Friday and it arrived on my doorstep on Monday. Very nice product for the money, got them mounted on my M4gery and now I am just waiting for the weather to clear up so I can get to the range and get it sighted in. Thanks Marshall |
|
Hey Marsh..I now have the M3, and micro dot and mag, just wanted to make sure you have me on the M4 list!
And a word to all who haven't purchased from Marsh yet, he ships very fast, easy to deal with, corresponds well and stands behind his products! Thanks Bro! |
|
Received mine on Wednesday. All I can say is, worth the $$ for sure. Red dot and magnifier are solid in the hand, mounted up with no rattles or loose fitting parts. Plus, when both are mounted, it just looks so bad a$$!!
Thanks Marshall for bringing a great product at a good deal, I'll be checking the website on a regular basis to see what new items you are stocking. Now for a question, Has anyone been able to remove the logo with some sort of chemical without doing any damage? I tried rubbing alcohol, with no obvious results. I know the Aimpoint rubber cover will fit, i just like the non-condom look much better |
|
You might try Goof Off to take the logo off. I haven't done it yet, but accidentally did it on something else I owned and it took the ink off right away. I will probably try it later thise weekend and will let people know.
Update, I tried Goof-off and it didn't work. Back to square one. |

I was thinking about paint thinner maybe, but if Goof-Off didn't work I don't know what would. |

Brake Cleaner or carb cleaner MAY work, but I would try it in an inconspicous area first to make sure it doesn't take off the finish too!

Got mine - Here are two pictures
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3349/3477582087_f0a32fd3eb_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3627/3478389870_a42b4fe6d2_b.jpg so far the combo is awesome - the dot is nice and clear, it was easy to sight in, and most importantly the dot held zero after about 100rnds... so shock resistance is so far so good. Nothing feels cheap and everything is nice and sturdy. as far as clones go this is an A+ |
|
Can anyone post a pick of a m3 clone and a m4 clone so I can see the size difference? Really been waiting on the M4 mainly because of the battery. Besides that, what are the differences? M3 have rectiles like the M4, etc....?
Thanks! |

Update: I've gone shooting with this things twice now and i have to say im impressed. 200rnds since putting the dot on and it hasnt shaken off zero. I also accidentally left it on all weekend and its still just as bright as fresh batteries. |

I ordered my M3 clone and magnifier on Monday, and received it today (Thursday). Everything looks and feels as good as everyone has stated, I am very impressed!! I heard on another thread that the Aimpoint rubber cover works well on this, has anyone tried this themselves or have pics of the cover installed?

Big thanks to Marshall! Both parts fit great and are really very nice for the price. Here is a pic of my first and only build I just completed. BCM Middy on CMMG Lower w/ Y/M F/A bolt, bcm extractor upgrade, and H1 buffer. Runs great! http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg262/psukydd/IMG_0210.jpg?t=1241751852 Nice setup. Can't wait for my BCM middy! |

Quick question. So being an M3 clone, does this sight in like one? Where the knob on top does elevation and the one on the side does windage? You turn elevation clockwise to raise it and windage clockwise to move left.
Did a shakedown at the range yesterday but could not remember which direction to turn the knobs to move the dot. Did a little internet search this morning and believe I have the info I need now, just want to verify. Thanks for feedback |

So I get this straight. The M4 model doe snot work well with the 3x magnifier, correct?
Also, is there a ETA for the M4's delivery? Is there an ETA for the magnifier? You should move your first page from the original thread to here also Marsh. |

You should move your first page from the original thread to here also Marsh. The M4 style just takes up more rail space. If you have a extended rail or don't want a back up rear it works great. The center of the cross reticle is open and makes for a good precise shot placement. They are due to clear customs next week. Give it another week for the people on the backorder list to get first shot before I make the rest available. |

Would a different mount help things out with the M4? Is there a cantilever mount for a Aimpoint that would work? I'll be in for a combo when they are available. |

A cantilever spacer is on my wish list for the factory but no ETA. The hole spacing is different that the Aimpoint. |

Light looks saweeeet!.
Howz about that magnifier? I really need to spend some cash on the combo! |
|
Received my M3 clone today and am VERY impressed. Super fast shipping and I really like the sight compared to every other sub-$100 red dot I've played with.
I doubt my 6 yr. old will be as impressed as I am, but the soon-to-be-hers 10/22 looks fantastic with it and I know she'll be thrlled. Thank you Marshall!!! |

Is the M3 clone the same exact length as the aimpoint M3?(It looks slightly longer) Can someone that has both check? Also, does the M3 have the different reticles or is that only the M4? Thanks.

The M3 clone is the same size as the Aimpoint Comp M3 How long for that puppy? |

Probably $40 more than the standard M3 style. |

Marshall,
I posted this in the original thread and then remebered you wanted postings in this thread, so not sure which one is active. Reading great things about the optics, the company and the customer service. I have a Stag Arms Model 2 with a MI rear BUIS, couple questiosn before taking the plunge. In the beginning of this thread it was mentioned that the M3 clone is water proof and fog proof / resistant, just wanted to confirm. Also, somewhere in the thread, it was mentioned there may be economic flip-aside mounts for the magnifyer, anything ever come of this? Couple questions for the group. May I get impressions on the brightness of the dot? Also, can anyone chime in on the long-term durability. I realize this is a low cost replica and you get what you pay for, just don't want to have to go before the review board, i.e. the wife, too soon after making the purchase. Are any risers, etc needed to get the scope to co-witness? Any impressions on the 5x versus the 3x? I'm thinking the 3x, but don't want to short change myself if the 5x is the way to go. Final question, just wanted to make sure that you had stock on the M3, High Cantilever Mount and 3x Magnifyer with the QD Mount? Thanks |

Thanks Both threads are still active but the old EE is supposed tol eventually go away. I hope it does not. Waterproof and fog resistant. Not Aimpoint waterproof so don't go scuba diving but if you drop it in a puddle or use it in heavy rain it won't hurt it. You want the high cant mount to cowittness and use a magnifier. Look in the original thread and you will see the brightness discussed. Not as bright as a real Aimpoint but does not wash out in sunlight like many of the others in this price range. Flip to side magnifier mount is coming but not currently available. All currently in stock. |

Thank you for the quick reply. Can any other group members comment on my general questions?
|
|
I have been playing around with one of the new M3's so hopefully I can comment a little...
With it turned up to the highest brightness you can look directly at a light bulb and not lose the EOTech style reticule. For normal use 3-4 (of 7) is about right. I haven't had mine long enough to comment on long-term durability, but it has taken everything I can throw at it, and there is nothing I can comment on that appears to be an obvious weak point. I have always been disappointed with clones because they give up the ghost pretty quick, this one however seems to offer 70-80% of an Aimpoint (a little less brightness, waterproofing, battery life, etc.) at a price that can't be beat to my knowledge. I have a 3X mag with the M3 clone in front of it in a cant mount. I get 1/3 co-witness with this set up. The 3X glass was clear enough to fool my buddy who was running a real EO-Tech Don't own a 5X so no comment there. Best of luck with whatever you choose to go with. |
