Still figuring out my setup. I want to run a white light parallel to an IR light. This is what I've come up with so far.
The DBAL and the IR light are controlled by a TAPS-SYNC. White light (Modlite) is a Hot Button. I know it looks front heavy, but it's not too bad. Attached File Attached File |

Hey, what is the light that is all one piece with the switch that mounts to the top rail with no wires? I saw it once but don't remember what company it was.
eta: never mind I think I just found it in this thread. Cloud Defensive OWL. Anyone have experience with it? Good/bad? US made or Chinesium? |

View Quote I don't have one myself, but I've seen students bring them to my low-light classes. It's an excellent product, very bright, durable and well designed. My only complaint is lack of customization, but as it is, it's a very nice light. |

Modded a LaRue double mount for use with Scout lights. Works great!
Also added a mounting plate so I could put my Hot Button where I wanted it. The idea here is to be able to move NVS gear between guns as easily as possible. Attached File Attached File |

I'm trying to decide on a PLHv2 or an OKW replacement head for the M640DF/SR07 that's on my do-all rifle. Anyone have any inputs?

Okw for a varmint or long range night shooting rifle. |

View Quote Pm sent Using a surefire switch with a modlite will indeed decrease your output. "One problem that exists today is that older switches are not able to pass the current needed to run current and future generation lights. These older switch designs do not allow Modlite light heads to run at full power. Typically these switches reduce output by 15-20%. ModButton Lite utilizes an updated plug design as well as improved electronics that allow the Mod Button Lite to output at full power so all the lumens and candela can be put to good use." |

Absolutely. Surefire tailcaps are the only interface available currently. You will be good to go with the Modlite PLHv2, Surefire UE tailcap and the ModButton Lite. Attached File |
