Which HK model do you prefer to carry?

I just bought an hk p30sk for carry. Slide is out getting work done to it but initial impressions are good.

I have P30SK with the LEM trigger and factory night sights. Also put a Streamlight TLR7a on it.

Definitely p30sk… I hardly even shoot any of the others anymore, let alone carry them.

Add me to the p30sk crowd

The VP9sk with the 13 round mag has been my daily carry for a few years now. I'll be rotating a 45c into the mix for the winter. The c carries surprisingly well.

I'm glad to read this, I just bought a P30sk (da/sa) for edc.
What holster do you guys recommend for it for AIWB? I'll probably need a wedge for comfort. |

P7M8 and 45C.

A socialist may indeed be academically superior.
And yet, they are most certainly emotionally retarded. Public education is the opiate of the masses. |
Old AK date code USPC 9 is my favorite. A lot of holster wear but shoots lights out. Dara holster or Aker leather iwb carry. Shoots 147 grain the best from my experience.

There is a lot of P30SK love in this thread.
The P30SK would be a strong competitor for the "if I could only own one 9mm" debates. It does virtually everything a person needs from a 9mm and does it exceedingly well. The latest edition of the extended mag with sleeve holds 15rds which makes it "duty grade", haha. I like the fact it is a "compact" or "sort of sub-compact" but has a real light rail on it. |

I ended getting mine in a lem flavor just to try it out and I gotta say I like it. The wall is a little heavy but not bad. Still undecided if I should mess with the trigger with like a srt kit or not. After I get a holster, I’m gonna winter carry it. |

P30sk da/sa for warm weather and 45c, converted to LEM, for cold weather. I really like the Gunfighters, Inc OWB holster for the 45c.

primary is a p30SK on my off days and a P30L to and from work.
I purchased a HK45CT two weeks ago and its worked its way into the rotation. the cool thing is that the p30SK and the HK45CT fit in the same Comp-TAC MTAC IWB. Also the p30SK and the P30L share the same Vedder OWB. The HK45C fits into an old USP 40 OWB leather I had in my storage. oh and a USP45 compact. I switch up my carry gun too often however the p30L, the P30SK and the USP 45 compact all have LEM triggers and the same trijicon sights. |

I'm really surprised to see the P30sk mentioned as often as it is.
Granted, I too carry a P30sk but have been thinking of switching over to the VP9sk for the optics capability. Slide milling a P30sk is not a cheap endeavor so by the time I get it milled I'm almost half way to a VP9sk. Also, I had to make a holster for my P30sk because the market is fairly limited for us HK P30sk bros. |

I highly recommend it with the DCC steel belt clip |

I favor my P2000sk because of the size, but I actually prefer the feel of the USP Compact.

View Quote I really like the LEM with short reset and the ability to cover the hammer with my thumb while holstering. Another draw for me over the VP9sk is the P30sk is actually smaller. As for holsters the Steathgear works well for me but I agree, I wish there were more options. Attached File Attached File |

Apart from the MP5, it looks like most of us prefer the SK sized guns. The HK45C had a strong showing too.
My favorite HK carry guns are ... 1st Place ... P30SKS 2nd Place ... HK45C and P30S (tie) 3rd Place ... USP45 Expert 4th Place ... USP40 and P2000 (tie) My woods carry gun is a USP45 Elite, haha. |

P30s. It's all I carry. Summer clothing is winter clothing to me, I always wear jeans. If it's cold and I'm wearing a vest or jacket, I'll go OWB sometimes.

P7 PSP or USP9c. I have a USP Tactical, but that thing is a brick.
