I own a ProTech TR-5 and a MT UTX-85. Both have been flawless. Looking for another quality folder though. Considering a Microtech LUDT but not wild about the shape of handle.
What else besides Benchmade and Spyderco Autonomy 2? |

May consider one of the USA made Kershaw options though. When you say it's a chunk, is it thicc or just the blade shape that gives it that feel? |

I ended up finding the OD Green Microtech LUDT online (Mustang Tactical). Seemed like it fit the bill.

When I said it’s a chunk, I mean everything is heavy duty. Scales, blade, spring - everything. You really feel it when you open it - fires with authority. Day I got mine, wife tried it (she’s used other switchblades I have), and it flew out of her hand, landing blade down. All it did was chip the slate tile - no damage to the blade. |

Just got it in. Mustang Tactical was great to deal with. Owner is AD Navy I believe.
Can’t believe how light it is for a knife of this size, especially an auto. Attached File Attached File |

I was impressed with the snappy spring, great edge retention, and overall quality of the knife. I gave several as gifts and they have all been used and holding up well. The D2 was not bad to sharpen using a spyderco triangular sharpening set. |
