 I like this model of Buck knife, and I thought I'd seen a small one in the past. Walmart has a Model 119, but it's bigger than I want. Am I wrong that they make/sell one like this that's about 6" overall length? None of my Google searches have brought one up. |

Edit - That lead me to better search results, and the smallest they make is the 102 Woodsman. It's still bigger than what I thought I'd seen, but I have my answer now. Thanks again. The classic 102 Woodsman is a true hunting knife, designed with a fine clip blade perfect for fish and small game. Features include full tang construction, a finger guard integrated into the blade, thumb grip ridges, and a deep choil. Overall length: 7 3/4" (19.7 cm). Includes a genuine, leather sheath. Imported sheath. |

I love the Brahma 117, perfect size for most light duty tasks. I carry it daily at work.

I got the 102, and I'm going to get a scout carry sheath for it. I'm seated most of the time, so it will be easier to carry/draw that way.
  I ordered it from Walmart. They had all three sizes, for $75ea. Edit - 119, 117, and 102. |

My first “real” knife was the General that I bought with lawn mowing money when I was about 13. It was one of my proudest moments at the time. The Brahma keeps almost identical proportions in a much more useful size. Purely aesthetic nostalgia, but it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy every time I pull it out. Post some pics of that sheath when you get it. I carry mine at about 4:00, on my right hip. The long belt loop on the factory sheath allows it to slide up when seated, and I can’t even tell it’s there. I do have to pull it back down when I stand up though. I’d love to see some alternate carry options. |

My new sheath arrived today. I haven't put it on my belt yet, but I like it. It's a good fit, with snap that latches really well, so I trust it not to pop open like some cheapy ones do.
