Is there a standard Highpower load for 52 grain bullets for reduced for 100 yard matches?  I'm just looking for a place to start.

I normally use Varget for 69's and heavier but it looks slow (for 52's )in the book.
I also have some TAC, which looks good in the Sierra Manual.

Any suggestions?

For 100 yard reduced matches, I use 24 grains of Varget in an LC case, 52 grain SMK, and Rem 7-1/2 primer.  This load works great for me.

Thanks for the tips guys!

Seems I've heard that people like ball powders for lighter bullets.
I'll give Varget a shot since I have a bunch of it.

edit:  I'm starting to think that for service rifles (M14,M16) that Varget and 4895 pretty much have you covered since they apparently work from 52 grain to 175.

If you load them too hot, you'll find out that they get to the target before you squeeze the trigger!

If you like ball powders, 24 gr (work up from there) of h335 and a 52 grain bullet is a great combo.  They'll work well to 200.

26.5 grains of Win748 with either a 52 or 53 SMK is a "no brainer" load.
