| I am kicking around making a bloop tube for my AR 15 service rifle; gonna make a budget space gun. I plan to thread it and attach it in place of the flash hider and then install a Riles sight on it. I want to extend it out a bit to benefit from extended sight radius. The bore of the bloop will be minimum 1/2" possibly larger. Do bloop tubes have any effect on the gas system? |
what? isn't a bloop tube an m79? |

I have thought about going what you suggest and start with one of the Bushmaster Varminter uppers (Chrome Molly as opposed to Chrome lined and DCM Profile under the handguards). I am pretty sure if I do this I would not want a threaded barrel but I have not figured out how to do the bloop tube either. In an ideal world I would like to add a picatiney rail out there so I could get creative with my front irons. There are not a lot of places you can buy NRA Highpower uppers... seems like an opportunity for someone! |
