So I'm a FFL and was wondering if CCW passes what are the requirements to become a teacher for doing CCW classes. Anyone know how to become a certified trainer?

Found some info on usacarry.com, although its mostly for Michigan, it might point you in the right direction.

Depends on the State requirement.
NRA offers 3 courses Basic Pistol, Personal Protection in the Home,and Personal Protection Outside the Home. In order to instruct all 3 you would take the NRA basic instructor class and the Pistol instructor class in one weekend (2 days) then take the PPITH which is 1 day. The PPOTH course must be taken and passed as a student before taking the 2 day instructor class. These are the only CCW classes nationally recognized. This route will help with insurance as well as credentials. Rangemaster in Memphis offers a good CCW instructor class (that is not NRA approved) as well. | As previously mentioned, the requirements vary from State to State. In Kentucky the ONLY way to become an instructor is to attend a Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training two day course. Nothing else matters or has any bearing on becoming an instructor. |
