I am considering taking the Front Sight Practical Rifle course.  I am also considering throwing in a Geissele SSA-E trigger into my rifle.  My new rifle is on order and I need to shoot it first to see if I want a new trigger but after all the raving over Geissele triggers, it is hard to imagine not to wanting one.

The course description from FS states no 'hair triggers' that are under 4lbs.  The combine stage weight of the SSA-E is 3.5lbs.

Anyone have any experience with the course and trigger and know if it would work for their class?

Thanks,

Matt.

Stock trigger should be fine.  Best mod is the nut behind the trigger. ;)

Whatever you end up doing, take your rifle to the range and run several hundred rounds through it before class to surface any issues with rifle or mags.  I number the mags so I can keep track of any issues with them.  I've seen many folks waste money on training classes with the newest high speed gear that didn't run right.  One class kept a box for that crap and it was full by the end as folks pulled off the high speed stuff and went back to basics.

Thanks for the advice.  I will just shoot a bunch with the stock trigger before taking the course and just keep it simple for now.
