Can anyone point me to a source of chamber flags which can be used in hot chambers (i.e. after a couple or three full auto mag dumps)? I suspect that the common yellow plastic ones would melt and make a real mess of things.

TIA,

Ken

I use these on all my ARs, and this is what we use at my agency. I've burned my fingers on the barrel and handguard end cap, and had the carbine smoking hot, and these have never shown signs of heat damage. At all. It doesn't go in the chamber, but goes in the mag well and is visible from the bottom and through the ejection port, so technically it's not a 'flag.'

Thanks erik996,

This looks like an option for AR style firearms.  I am working on some home made ones fabricated from aluminum TIG filler.  Basically a piece of 1/8" rod with a 90 degree bend and a loop or curlicue on the outside end.
