ROFL I'm such a freakin idiot. Meant to put www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=9&f=5&t=226397 Wow I feel like an idiot! ![]() |
Thats OK. Newarguy is staff. He cant help it that he posted it in the wrong section, after I had already posted this here. |
Yes, and well worth the $40 IMO. |
|
Mine came in today, yeee haaww. Watched disks 1 & 2 and am still digesting the information. Team communication drills ("Check!") are right on. Also nice to see multiple shots to center mass & head area. Too often, 2 body 2 head don't seem to be enough. I am sure to see new things I missed the first viewing. Must watch again, Big thumbs up !! |
|
I've only made it through disc 1. Here's my take:
On that disc, there is a guy running an AK. The instructors are using with the AR platform, though, and that seems to be the focus of their manipulations. The tactics would work fine with an AK, but the specific manual of arms might need to be learned elsewhere. I'm very happy that they were able to produce such a high quality product at a very reasonable price. |

According to the Exodus Command Center and ICE:
"The DDTC Licensing Officer determined “NOT USML MUNITIONS LIST ARTICLE” for the DVD titled “The Art of the Tactical Carbine.” Your EARS record has been marked “Decision Rendered.” " So this means that the DVD set is cleared for export to addresses overseas! best, Costa |
| I learned a lot from these videos - like proper use of the vertical foregrip. One thing surprised me which is how far in on the shoulder Chris holds his AR, more like on his chest than shoulder, and this may be why he is able to control recoil so much better than others - rapid fire barely moves him, looks more like me when I am firing .22LR than full .223 rounds. |

Quoted:
There goes another $40...but $40 very well spent I'm sure. Yammy, this could be the best return on your investment I have seen in the video market over the last 10+ years. The MagPul guys should be commended for not only producing a great product but keeping it VERY affordable. |

I'm late to the party (per usual) and got the first DVD set from the wife for Christmas this year.
In a word: Phenomenal. Great info, well presented. I enjoyed the 1911 porn on disc 1 I haven't finished watching the maintenance section of disc 3 yet but I notice that Chris Costa hasn't (as of when I stopped watching) mentioned what that biodegradable spray is he's using to break up the carbon... Anyone know? |
