Anyone know of a match sling, nylon, that featuers a cuff separate from the sling? I saw a picture of one that utilized a fastex buckle arrangment to attach the sling to the cuff. The cuff could stay mounted to the arm and when you want to sling up, you just attach the sling to the fastex buckle on the cuff. Are tehse common? Anyone know who manufactures such an item? |
| Does'nt sound like a good sling at all. Nylon stretches for one thing. Leather ot synthetic is the way to go. Also Match rifles usually have a quick attach/detach swivel on the gun. Adjust it properly and then detach it from the gun leaving it properly located on your arm. |

That sounds like TIS Quick Cuff. They're supposed to be a pretty good sling, but marketed more towards tactical style shooting. They're definitely not a Service Rifle sling. The sling makers |

Thanks, I knew of the TIS and that's what I was thinking of. I also knew this wouldn't be SR legal. The TIS is a complete sling. I was thinking of a TIS-like design, that's more of a match sling that attaches at the front only, like a Thompkins-Gallagher or a Tubbs no-pulse sling. I just didn't know if there were any other mfg's that make something like this. This would be more for play, not HP competition, and maybe something I could use in Tactcial Rifle matches that would be quickly deployable. My idea of perfection would be a sling that had velcro included that allowed rolled up stowage at the front sling swizel. To deploy, unroll, hook into the armband and get into position. I could always go with a TIS and just install as it's designed or remove the back half. Just an idea. |
