I see the legal liability amounts are decent for the money you pay for insurance, but $5000 for medical expenses? That wouldn't cover an ER visit!

What is everyone using for insurance?

I'm using the NRA insurance.  Also having a waiver signed but doubt that would actually help any.  The NRA insurance was affordable for the coverage.

I agree that for the money, NRA insurance is a deal. Every lawyer I know says the same thing about waivers. They aren't worth the paper they are printed on.

I'll probably pick up the NRA insurance, but I'm going to look into some supplemental insurance, too. $5000 medical coverage is a joke.

Come on everyone. All the "instructors" on this site and NOBODY, except for ONE person has insurance?

One place is NRA, not sure of the other but I think it's the same.

I found this an interesting read...

Waivers

All the research I've done on the subject leads back to what this article says... state law can have an impact on the worth of a liability waiver and NOTHING will protect you from gross negligence or conduct that falls outside of what's considered reasonable as far as using due care.

I use a liability waiver when I provide training and hope I never need it, but I'm confident that absent gross negligence on my part, I'm protected.  BUT.... this is America and anything can happen.

What about using a waiver/hold harmless AND having the Instructors insurance?
