"Art Decko, how nice".
"What floor are we on?" "19" "Ok, tell me when we get to 21.....I gotta throw up" I like AD |

Some amazing posters too.
Yeah, I dig AD, and Art Nouveau as well. |

Style... that period had it.
I kind of wish we would get a AD revivalist movement again. |

Art Deco is best deco. I'd really like to have that theater setup at my place. Do they make a scaled-down one bedroom apartment version?

Big fan!
I really hate most of the modern glass boxes. Really? You paid some to think of a flat sided box made of glass. |

I love it I have been working on a science fiction story for the past couple years set in the late 20s partly so I could have a backdrop with lots of Art Deco buildings and spaceships.

I'm a pretty big fan myself, there's some cool theaters out there with nice art-deco styling too....I saw where someone did their whole home media room that way and it looked badass. Found it: http://st.houzz.com/simgs/330104ce0fc98f3d_4-0939/contemporary-home-theater.jpg View Quote Love AD! And that media room is badass. |

Timely thread. Was just researching Art Deco the other day. Brings thoughts of better times and American strength.

I love it. I wish it would make a comeback, but it's too expensive to produce or manufacture.

Nouveau first but Deco is cool, the Chrysler building is incredible.

I wish they had the technology to build more skyscrapers during the art nouveau period. It would be pretty cool to have some tall buildings around that looked like Isengard or really curvy and detailed.
