Like to see it go up against a Raptor.
I bet F-35 would school it though. Or even an F15. |
|
In great soviet russian tradition, this appears to be a bad, enlarged copy of a US design.
|
|
Jeez they sure like to expose a crap ton of engine to the outside of the airframe! Holy heat signature Batman!

One of the biggest advantages that the US and Israel fighters have over Combloc/Combloc trained countries is pilot autonomy; not being tied to central control. |

I wonder what it looks like if it were to crash at an airshow. Survey says... we will see soon enough!

So it's an enlarged version of the what the ChiComs found out about the F-35 and then decided to share with the Russians?
They better start looking into a S-600. |

I'd bet that thing is huge on our radars. The engines alone look like they were not designed from the ground up with LO in mind.

The Bear coming through the cloud layer was a great shot. But man, those oxygen masks and Kamovs look downright archaic. |

That must be the test step they are at in the development program, "Drunken Russian Swerving" |

Needs MOAR truck nuts since it has those smoky-ass Russian turbofans.

I see they still haven't fitted the correct engines....been years now.

So how much did the Clintons profit from sharing the F22/35 engineering with Ivan?

Everything Russia makes sucks and we don't have to worry about any of it especially when FHRC makes our military great again.

Serious question to some of our arfcom pilots.
What is the difference in training between our F - pilots vs. Russian? Also, in a dogfight scenario how would they stack up against our F-35s / F-22s? I realize they are alot of variables and the limits of their aircraft are probably not that widely known... |

The Russians can turn out talented and capable pilots. Unfortunately they can not afford to give them much in the way of training time or flight hours. We devote something like 4-5 times as many flight hours to our pilots for training, and we have a much more mature aggressor training regimen. |

My understanding is a lot of the Russians engine tech came from Ukraine. I doubt that is happening now. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Without the correct engines, it is just a big ole jet with little to offer over much older models in the inventory. |

This, and what I put above about our pilots not being tied to centralized control. I've heard we may give our pilots even more than the 4-5 times as many flight hours. |

All through that video I was expecting to hear a Russkie Kenny Loggins rendition. |

It was a comment about a little more work needed on the lateral directional stability control laws. I couldn't get the gif to play, so I trashed the whole thing. Might need to upgrade from copies of 286 processors to something with a little more speed. |
