Actually the M16A2 of the rifle issued to the tank.  I still have the arms room issue card from when I was the loader, so I had the serial number...

The wife contracted (using me as a go-between) with Braceman as a Father's Day Gift to have it engraved with the CAD drawing I'd been playing with.

I changed the Colt logo to My Little Pony JUST to shut up people who were worried it'd be confused for the actual Army rifle.

It's an 80% lower build, which I carved out on Sunday.

I still have to get it anodized, but it's assembled enough to go shooting if I wanted to.

I hope those 80%ers are as easy to finish as you guys make it appear to be!

I'm probably about to outmyself here but is that "Steel Hooves" haha.

Anywho nice build I like it a lot.  I started out on A2s for about 5 years before my unit got A4s in the Armory.  I'm pulling parts together to build up an A2 just because of that reason.

Cute.   Very cute.   I used to know this little girl that would walk around saying "Pink-a-PIe" a lot.  It's hard to forget how she said it and how much she said it.  LOL.

Looks great.  Love the logo and the fact that it's the sam SN as your service weapon.

Now about the messy house....

I built a clone of my service rifle from my days as a young Private in the early 90's with the 82nd Airborne. It is built on a Sherwood Armory LLC 80% commemorative lower. The only difference is the anti-rotation pins for the trigger and hammer pin holes. Just cheap insurance to keep the holes from egging out since the holes aren't anodized.
