It's an issue helmet cover that was too big for the lid so I "fixed" it.

Trim the edges, sewed it up with velcro for attachment, and put a nice big patch on the back for my home made strobe/battery pouch.

I picked up a second PVS-14 a few months back and just took advantage of TNVC's IRSale!  Have my second helmet set up.

The second DBAL is still on back order from them.  Now I jet need to get one of these!

Do you notice wobble in your wilcox mount where it mates to the VAS shroud?  Not sure how to fix it other than stuff something behind it.

Not really, but I've only spent a couple of hours with it (most of it not really mobile), so it's probably not quite broken in yet in that regard. Hoping to get out with it in a big way this weekend, will let you know

No. It's a HELMET rig thread, for which the definition states it must be a form of protective gear worn the protect the head from injuries. SO YEAH. TAKE THAT. Cool rig.

Very nice. I just ordered a Multicam Ops Core FAST bump from TNVC. I'll be posting pictures when it gets here. Also been thinking about taking my NODs apart and having the case dipped multicam but I'm not sure about that yet.

Very nice rig!  I could never get the Wilcox I-arm to provide short enough ER with any of my configurations, but if it works for you, great.  You have the "pimp daddy" dummy cord setup; that is a feature definitely worth making benefit of.  I am fixin' to hop on my quad for a ride after the sun sets, and would never consider doing so without the -14 corded.

For the other poster asking about Krylon, have a look at the several responses from multiple folks on page one of this thread....and the tens of dozens after that.

Does anyone here use the Wilcox hybrid shroud?  My friend bought one for his ops core helmet, and it was nearly impossible to get on.

Anyone else run into this issue?

FWIW, my rattle-canned (krylon, various multicam-ish colors) rifle barrel seems to blend in fine with my propper camo, whereas anything made by maxpedition apparently reflects IR like a mofo.

Nothing near the beautiful high quality photographs or high speed sexy gear that the rest of y'all've got, but my humble submissions:

From left to right:

ACH 1:

ACH 2:

USGI rhinos and mounting plates with Ops-Core H-napes.

The last is my "custom" bump helmet:

I was originally using it as an actual CVC and drilled it for the NOD mount and added some of the Velcro for the MS2000 when I was on tracks - and ended up picking up a surplus shell when I went to turn it in and kept this one, and re-drilled this one for a spare USGI four-point chinstrap set, and threw in some ACH pads - no pads in the center for use with electronic hearing protection - it's nice and lightweight, but still stable enough for the AN/PVS-14.

I did manage to snag a Wilcox L4 shroud with lanyard off the EE which should be going on ACH 1 (UCP) when it arrives - eventually I'd like to get another shroud for the other two and possibly drill them for a three-hole pattern and move to either the Wilcox G24 or possibly G11s for the mount.  I'd also like to eventually pick up a couple sets of ARC rails.

For the time being, though, they work as a generally "low cost" solution.

I finally get to play!!  Ops Core finally came in this week; I have a tiny noggin so I had to wait for a size small direct from them that was back ordered.  Took it on a little hike last night, hoping to go shooting tonight.

Side project....re-discovered a PASGT I've had for awhile now and decided to turn it into a second rig for my nods.  Waiting on a one-hole mount from TNVC.

I tried google searching, but for those that replace the shrouds, how tight do you turn the screws down?

On my ops core fast ballistic, the screws somewhat dig into the weaving of the ballistic material.  Is this normal or am I supposed to be using some sort of washer behind the screw heads?

Yes, and yes. I have the peltors moved back one notch from center and there is a set screw on the Princeton that I just tightened on the rail but it is past the detent that would hold it in. It seems to work so far.

Hope that helps!

I had mine mounted to the sideburn rail.  Only problem was that it was aimed too far out in front to be useful.  Switched to a bendy neck light and like it much better.

Now to find somewhere else to mount the Switch.  It's a handy size.

Directionally, mine does fine. It's not quite as bright as I expected, but I don't need it to be a long range illuminator. I left some space behind it because I run a longer range illuminator in an offset mount behind it and it does pretty good. I will say it is kind of redundant on my helmet since I have a surefire on the other side. I like redundancy though.

I'm running the PVS over my left eye and with the M1 on the right, it balances the helmet very nicely, especially when the PVS is stowed.  Also, maybe the coolest thing is that the M1 is essentially co-witnessed with the PVS - the beam is centered absolutely perfectly in the FOV.

I noticed the same thing on my TW LTP, I have the M1 on one side and a TLR1 on the other and they both point perfectly right in the center of my FOV. crazy cool.
