You are about to have a lesson in ammo hoarding.
ETA: I have what you have lying around loose on shelves, in drawers, the glove box, the bottom of my range bag, on the coffee table, in my car, etc... |
Sorry, but... Sorry.... |
how quaint |
About 75K last time i checked. mostly 556, 308, 40sw, 9mm, 12 gauge, 30Carbine, 7.62x54R, and M1 Ball in Enblocs.
I'm low on .45 right now. I buy ammo whenever i find a good deal. that way I'm never subjected to short term price increases from temporary shortages. Usually spend about 300-500 amonth on ammo, for about the last 9 years. |
you could say that. TXL |
A couple of hundred rounds of .40, 900 rounds of Radway Green 5.56, about 300 rounds of Hotshot (SS109), and some tracers. |

Let me put it to you this way. Most of us here probably have more than that rolling round between their couch cushions. |
Let me put it this way. I have about 100 times as much ammo as you do Cached in your state, and I live over 2000 miles away. |
Wait till you see Taxman's fort. |
1000 rds 5.56
500 rds 9mm 250 rds .45 acp FMJ 100 rds .45 acp JHP 200 rds .380 (wife's gun) I don't consider that to be anywhere near enough so when the IRS gives me back my money I will cure this situation. |
12k 9mm
23k 7.62 commie 8k 5.45 95k assorted .22LR 2k+ BMG 30 .45acp 500 .380 5k .308 win 0 .220-swift Im hurting for some .220, .380 and .45. |
I'll bet I am a lightweight with 8500+ rounds stashed away.
How many how ammo in a caliber you don't own a gun for? I do 5.45x39--2k |
Maybe 1k total in mixed calibers for about 20 guns.
Pathetic, I know. |
What do you want for it? Seriously. What brand? |
Dude. You basically have no ammo. |
I have more 5.56 Tracer ammo than you have Total 9mm ammo. And tomorrow (Saturday) morning I'm off to shoot ±210 rounds of XM193 ammo. Dude, there are days where I have expended twice the total ammo you currently own in under an hour. And then I would reach for other four - or more - loaded magazines. |

1000k=1,000,000 |
1k is what I meant. Its been a long fuckin day |
You know I have more 158 grain 9mm at home than he does in his whole inventory. And I'm planning on buying more later this spring/summer. |
Just checking. I have roughly 55k Mostly 5.56mm/.223, .45ACP,9mm and .22LR |
just out of curiousity, and please dont take this the wrong way....
I understand having a lot of rarer ammo around...i know the 7.62 soviet and 5.45 are rarer and rarer and it may not come back for a while... but why 12,000 of 9mm? I cannot foresee a situation where I would need that much ever...my ammo is more like the original posters...and I only own 2 calibers of guns (.44 mag and .45 ACP, although 5.56mm is soon to join that).... I just am confused...dear lord, where do you keep it all? Can you shoot that much? Do you have time to shoot that much? God, I wish I did...but, if I had that ammo the chances are the majority of it would be in my will.... |
I dunno, I need to inventory again. probably about 2,800-3000 rounds centerfire
WOW !. when the SHTF I'm coming over to YOUR house !. To point and laugh. |

I'm taking a class next month where I will shoot 3K 9mm in 5 days. A couple guys here took a class a few weeks ago where they each fired over 3,000 rounds 556 in 3 days! I have two huge steel shelving units in the garage that are for ammo storage. but most of it is just stacked on the garage foor. |
Let me see: 5K 5,56 excluding tracers. 9mm: 500 lead 147 Grain, about the same with 147 Grain FMJ, about 1K in 115 Grain. .380 comes to exactly 1,000 rounds. .308 Winchester....not enough, somewhere under 2G. I'm not counting what I'm shooting tomorrow. |
Stick around. We will teach you why you need more. |
Approx;
200rds 9mm 40rds .45 30rds .223 1krds 7.62x39 800+rds? 8mm 400rds .22lr 40-60rds .308 Not enough. |
I am sorry to be a noob but i dont know what NFA is...
that is awesome you get to take classes where you can shoot that much...i wish i had the time...where do you go to do this? (Please understand I am sincere in my questions) When I go shoot, on any given weekend I am lucky to go through 2-300 rounds...and I generally only get to shoot 1-2 weekends a month... the other problem I run into are range nazis that only allow their ammo from their store to be fired....(anyone from VA with suggestions on where to shoot I live in Orange)...because of this i generally only keep my self defense ammo at home... In hindsight I have shotguns too, so you should throw 12 gauge into that mix of .45 and .44 |
Hell, I had 300 rounds GIVEN to me yesterday. I LOVE customers sometimes. He just wanted to get rid of it. All of it was great stuff, alibet 12 gauge 00 buck and .38 special.
I figure I have around 50K centerfire rifle ammo, 25K .22 ammo and 30-35K in centerfire handgun ammo, mostly in 9mm and .45acp but also a few K of .45Colt, a K of .454 Casull and a few K of .38 special. I still don't have enough..............................I know where I can score some 55grain 5.56 for $175 and will get a few K of that to add to the stash. |
I cleaned out my van once and found a rifle and a couple handguns I had lost track of. |
