Any idea on how long till completion? Simply curious for budgeting purposes.
Just curious, will the stock be a real folder now? Or is it something we can pay extra for?
Hot Damn! I've been waiting for this. Do I have to send another copy of the FFL if they already sent the SEAK to my FFL?
I second that. I really want an underfolder! |
They are already building them now.... |
Any type of folder is good, a side folder would be even better. |
What about us poor bastageges in NY do we get the evil features also?
Got you covered. We can fix the stock open and weld the brake on. Mike |
Move to OHIO! |
Doh! I missed this thread. I kept expecting more in the original SEAK II thread and now I know why I haven't seen anything. LOL
Any deal on optics like the first SEAK? When is the cutoff date for deposits?
SEAK II is wide open right now. No cutoff date has been established. First come, first served.
KF |
Any pictures of it with wood furniture?
Nevermind, just looked at the order form. |
Barrel length?
Overall length when folded? Michigan is strict on that. Thanks. |
Are the Ohio Ordnance receivers good to go now? I've heard they have issues with them not being heat treated and with the safety selector not sitting flush when in the safe position.
I'm really thinking hard now about racking up some more debt on my credit card to have one of these. They look friggin awesome. |
On the original SEAK, I believe ORF heat treated the pin holes and rails but not the entire receiver. Unless you are planning on using the receiver as some sort of leveraging tool, that should not be an issue. Once you receive the SEAK, the safety selector MUST be hand fitted for it to be placed in its fully up, engaged position. Since the RSA FCG is adjustable, ORF does not know how you would like the various adjustable features of the FCG set. And how you set them will affect how much material of the caming surface of the selector to take off. BTW, the FCG must be removed for the selector to be taken out for the hand fitting process. Was it a pain in the ass? Hell yeah- because I've never worked on an AK FCG or any FCG for that matter. It just took time and patience (or a willing board member in your area). The toughest part was getting that retaining wire back on. It was not hard after I reviewed the step-by-step, photo instructions on this fine site. |
so when you recieve the SEAK II you have to install the FCG yourself?
Not exactly. I did not take the entire FCG out of the receiver. I simply took the shepard’s hook out. Backed the trigger pin out just enough to get the trigger out of the way to rotate the safety selector out for the hand fitting process. It's the price you have to pay for an adjustable FCG. |
goddamnit you guys. a college kid cannot afford this stuff. time to get back into AKs.
Michigan law says that the gun must be at least 26 inches when folded. How long is the AK when folded with and without the flash hider? BBL must also be 16 inches.
DUH you = teh GHEY!!! |
Are you building them? Do you know? I'm not asking for your legal opinion. I am asking ORF who builds it, how long it is when folded. Under Michigan law depending on the BBL lenghth and overall length when folded, the gun could be required to be registered as a pistol according to our Attorney General. Anyone in Michigan would want to know that.
Take it easy hoss, its pretty common knowledge that firearms must be over 26" overall due to Federal firearms laws. This isnt just a Michigan thing its a Federal law. Michigan more than likely copied the Federal laws to enable their state law enforcement to handle firearms violations
If it is under 30in folded it has to be registerd as a pistol in MI.
690mm with stock folded, and 943 with the stock extended. That's all with the muzzle device attatched. That's a touch under 28". Edit: in any case, you can allways add some more length by getting a can for it |
Returning today from vacation of over a week's worth (of spending) and I see this deal! I gotta get a good night's rest ... to enable clear-headed thinking before deciding to take the plunge on another AK. Tagged for later.
How accurate are these? $750 seems a little steep, but I'm an AK noob.
can we get these in the regular stock version for a lower price?
That would be cool since I live in NY. |
My fixed stock, earlier build is 2-2.5" on Barnaul fmj. Darned close to an AR's groups on budget ammo. |
I'm interested in the Atlantic Arms Polish Underfolder AK V-47U...
What would be involved in adding the Underfolder stock to the SEAK II rifle? That way I'd have another AR15.com Special Edition rifle in an AK format I'd like to have... |
What's the deadline for the SEAK II order ?
I didn't see it on the PDF. |
right now there is no deadline. They haven't set a "no more after this time" date. |
I can't get this one although I would love to. I love my SEAK now and would love to get matching numbers. I need a good layaway plan.
Any chance of getting the SEAK II with a standard buttstock instead of the folding buttstock ?
If so, would there be any difference in price ? |
edited...
? |
+1 I don't like non folding folders ( The NY Opption) so I'd want the polymer butt stock too Can it be done ??? |
krinfreak or anyone from OFR, on the order form it states we will recieve a confirmation phone call or email. I mailed full payment three weeks ago, I haven't received confirmation yet. I'm just wondering if you received it.
They state that a side scope mount installed. Would it not interfere with the stock? just curious
Looking at the pic on the first page, it looks like the scope mount tucks neatly inside the stock skeleton when folded. |
Can anyone tell me if I can get a specific number?
I want the same number as my SEAK I and I want to match it to the SEAK II. thanks |
