Todd, that's a beauty.
I am still somewhat stunned that I finally got my act and finances together to haul off and order a FAL from you. I am about as happy as a pig in a poke and it isn't even here yet. To prepare I've already picked up another couple of mags and a lot of .308 and rebuilt my yard target. Can't wait. |

762X51: there will have to be serious problem worked out on shipping out para rifles as a bbl lenghth of 363mm is 14.29 inches making it a NFA firearm even without the sear.
Gorgeous, but too rich for my blood... if I were in a class 3 state I'd be all over it!
If you go in on the group buy, when is the money due? Right before the rifle is delivered, or when you order?
Semi-Auto "Para" guns will be shipped with flashhider permanently attached. Sear Ready guns will have receiver shipped to your FFL and kit shipped to you. You marry sear and receiver, not ORF.
Money will be due when the buy closes. When the buy closes I will send everyone an invoice with ordering info. Once everyone has paid, I will send the entire order to ORF. Note that money orders will be made to ORF, not me. If you want to pay by credit card, there will be a 3% surcharge to cover ORF's cost. Credit cards will not be charged until item is shipped. Regards, Orin |

No, Just when the buy closes and I have no way of knowing when that will be. |

Yeah, these things aren't cheap. Here's one, no picture thoughwww.gunsamerica.com/guns/976502702.htm. Of course gunsamerica isn't exactly known for reasonable priced guns either.

This is only on the 14" para rifles, correct? The 18" sear ready rifles can be shipped complete to my FFL, right? Also, what is the difference in the receiver between a sear ready rilfe, a semi only rifle, and a factory select fire? I am wondering which of the first two would be the best to get, if Form 1s for MGs are approved again in the future and I would want to get it converted to factory select fire specs. |

Guys,
I am projecting delivery of the guns to the GB buyers in Jan. I hope to have our kits first of Dec and we are gonna be stock piling lowers from now till then. We will try our hardest to ship guns before Christmas if at all possible. There are some FAQs that have been sent to me via email and I would like to show them here and address them. Why do a GB? Makes our job at ORF alot easier to work with someone that can organize, take phone calls, etc etc and ORF not get pounded with all that Can I buy a semi and install a sear later? Yes, but it will need to be machined for a sear, and the internals either changed or replaced. Can I buy a sear ready gun w/o having a sear? Yes If I get a para can you solder the FH? Yes Is the GB the best price avail? Yes If I am in OH and on the GB can I pick up at ORF? Yes Can I buy a lower only for my FNC? Yes there avail from ORF $300 stripped Todd@ORF |
VERY nice! You say I can buy a sear-ready gun without having a sear... will it function in semi-auto? If so, why would anyone buy one of the non-sear ready guns?
JTB,
Sear ready guns still fire semi. Why would guys buy them? If they were in a state that you can never own a MG. Todd@ORF |
Same reason people purchase AR's without sear-blocks. They are closer to milspec.
Todd. I noticed the calculations on the barrel lengths add upto 14.3" and 17.62". You previously spoke to me about a 16" model. Is the 16" model the 14.3" model with a permenantely attached flash suppressor? Thanx. Sammy

Resale value. |

I had a real FNC once and sold it. It is probably the only gun I've sold that I DO NOT regret selling.
Maybe the ORF version will be a better product (primarily a thicker bbl) . . . . . |
Doubt it. It will be using FNC parts kits.

Todd at ORF just released a small number of COMPLETE FNC's with transferable sears!! href=www.autochart.com/groupbuys.htm
Regards, Orin |
How about the sear pin? Will that be included too? Also, are there any known timing issues when installing the S&H auto sear? Thanks! |
Does "when the buy closes" mean when all 100 rifles & kits are accounted for, or when ORF starts shipping? Thanks! |
Guys,
I plan on including with the sear ready guns and also lowers, a how to put your sear in and the issues that you might incounter sheet. On the GB. When the GB closes invoices will be sent to you for payment, you have to mail that back to Orin. When Orin gets everyones in, he then mails the entire package to me. Depending on when all this happens guns might be ready and ship prompt, or it might be a month or so. Plan I have is Orin selling out real soon end of Nov or close. Take a few weeks getting every bodies payments in. We get it in Dec or so, ship guns then or Jan. Orin would better answer these q's but I tried to give it a shot. Todd@ORF |

Please clear up some confusion for me...
I live in Missouri. You can only own C&R Class III weapons here. Does the "sear ready" rifle transfer as a normal semi-auto? Does it ship as a complete, normal semi-auto, ready to run? Since I cannot own a newly made Class III rifle in Missouri, should I purchase the semi-only rifle, or does buying the sear ready rifle make sense in case I should ever sell it to someone out of state? I'd appreciate any thoughts the group has... -David. |
No, we can't own a class III weapon here in Missouri without being a class III dealer; you can however own a Full Auto C&R firearm (Thompson SMG). You can own a sear ready gun because it is the sear that makes it a machine gun, obviously you can't own a sear in Missouri. I would buy a sear ready gun, it's cheaper and if you want to sell it or move to another state you will be better off. Jerad |
That was my original question that wasn't ever really answered. Even if you have no intention of getting a FNC sear, or live in a state that doesn't allow Class III, why wouldn't EVERYONE just get the sear-ready FNC just to save money and keep resale value higher? Essentially, I am asking: What is the advantage to getting the more expensive non-sear ready FNC? |
Sorry for the delay in answering...Had a HD crash on my laptop and have spent the afternoon re-installing the operating system and then all of the updates...
Don't buy the "Sear Ready" gun unless you are actually going to install a sear!! If you try to fire a "Sear Ready" gun without the sear, the gun will fire out of battery!! Get the semi-auto gun and if you later get a sear have ORF change it over for you. Regards, Orin |
So to clarify, if we buy a "sear ready" FNC in anticipation of getting a sear, it can't be fired until a sear is in it? |
No, the gun will fire but if you have the selector in the Auto position it will fire out of battery. |
Is anyone else getting an "URL not valid" error when trying to submit group buy orders? If my order appears twice, or not at all, that is the reason. Just so you know.
Yep, I'm getting the same thing. |
If you are using Netscape that may happen. If it does, just send me an email at [email protected] with your info. Orin |
Question for Tgrove Can you get the {lower only} SEAR READY? And does A upper from an orginal FNC fit without mods and fire full auto on A ORF lower thanks tom
Brick,
You can buy our lower sear cut. Then take your semi FNC and reg sear. Do the internal mods to your parts, selector, hammer, also weld carrier then you can rock and roll. Todd@ORF |
So are you saying that your upper kits that you are building for your sear ready complete guns have mods thanks tom
Because you can always move to an MG legal state! |
I emailed my order a week or so ago, and I just wanted to confirm that you got it. [email protected] 513-934-3634 Thanks. |
Sorry for the delay, I had overlooked your email. Confirming email sent. Regards, Orin |

Is the one mag the FNC comes with an original FN mag, or just an AR mag?
