put 90 rounds through my new vepr today.  with the brake on there the felt recoil is similar to firing a 22 pistol.  I backed off to 200 yards and couldn't manage to miss the 2' gong, even aiming right to the edge.  The EOtech helped a bit too.

best thing is I don't have to burn up my precious 762x39 to have fun.  now i just need to find where the wild poodle roam.

and of course not a single feed problem.  must be something wrong with a rifle you don't even have to break in.    even when you fire the last of your old laquer coated wolf sitting in the bottom of the closet for a couple of years.    and later you can go a few thousand rounds firing that crap without cleaning it.    and it still fires at least 2.5 moa.

So is your EOTech mounted over the reciever, or did you use an Ultimak rail?

it's a side rail reciever mount.  switching between the 7.62 x 39 and the 223 i have to move it just a couple clicks to the side, every time.  it's a great design.

i'm going to group as soon as i can and take pics to prove my smack talk.

here's my 7.62, have to drill some dimples and mount my brake still:

Where/how did you get the bottom rail? I would like one on my 7.62 VEPR K.

What about mags...are they hard to come by? I had heard that  you have to modify the mags to get them to work properly.
