My bullpup (also posted in the non-traditional thread, hopefully this isn't breaking any rules).  Build was originally designed and done by BobaDebt, and he did all the work on the rails and helped me do one similar.  Sights for the top rail should be here friday, dunno what I'm going to do with the muzzle.

Put a smith vortex on it

Which one fits this barrel profile?  The original 74-style hider was screwed onto the FSB, and I don't know if this barrel is the same diameter as an AR, or a 47, or what.

EDIT:   nvm, figured it out.  Definitely putting a Vortex on there, thanks for the recommendation.

Well the stock isn't at the correct angle and doesn't lock in the folded position, also there are some rivets/screws missing. But seriously, it's an awesome rifle and has some sentimental value since my best friend gave it to me after I helped him pick up the pieces after a break-in. Someday I'll pick up a more "correct" '74 but until then... just ordered another 1,080 rounds.

I like it.  I might have to get one of those grips for mine.

These rifles look so good, I'm going to kick myself for not buying another after they dry-up.

But I've already got two kits at Overland right now, so I can't get too crazy.

A year of accessorizing my WASR-2 here got me this.  I have to say, I'm entirely happy with it.  Had an issue with an out of spec extractor when I first got it, but other than that it shoots well.

Bent and welded these receivers myself, built from a demilled parts kit, no press.  Cut the forgrip from the rommy and sanded it down. Finish is Krylon BBQ paint.

@ Myk,

How do you like the grill paint?  A friend of mine used it on his WASR-10 but it would rub off in the hand.  I'm using Duplicolor high temp engine paint which seems to hold up
pretty well.

The rear sight I have is diss'un right here.

I'd had a peep sight from the same company on my SKS for a few years and really liked it, so I wanted to try it on my AK.  Plus, I'd always wanted a co-witness with a peep sight and red dot.
The only downside is that the AK version is alittle pricey because you also need to replace your dust cover to get it to work.  It comes in two versions, one is a windage only adjustable model
which has a dual aperture feature; the other is elevation and windage adjustable but looses the dual apertures.  The good part is that the sight is held into the T-shaped slot on the rear block via recoil spring pressure,
and isn't welded onto the dust cover like some rear sights are.

I'll play, here's my birthday present to myself, a WASR-2, it's exactly what I was looking for, a decntly accurate (at sub 100 yard distances) semi-automatic rifle that I can beat the hell out of

P.S. it's my first ever AK
