Those late '90s Romanian '74s are excellent shooters.  However, that stock set is awful.

WOW! An ak sniper rifle, it looks like you even managed to mount the scope backwards.
How much does the bipod mounted to the barrel change your POI and 1000 yards?

I assure you that the scope is mounted correctly. And the effective range of the 7.62x39 is only about 350 yards so I wouldn't know.

My mistake, it looks like its backwards but its hard to tell with the camo on there.
350 yards, I was way off.

That was my first though too.  It sure looks like a variable optic mounted backwards to me as well.

It's just a simple 4X.  It's the lens shade that makes it look the way it does.

The fifth one from the left is a 5.45 (Romanian AK-74). There is also a 5.56, the first one on the right.

took my childhood friend who's currently on winter break from the Naval Academy out for some shooting today. this is his first time shooting an "assault" rifle so please don't make fun of the chickin' wing.

we shot with both the AK and AR but here are some pics of him shooting my SGL31:

this is the result of him trying to put a fully loaded mag into a 2 MOA dot at 50 yards away off handed.

some artsy photos y'all might enjoy.

p.s. on the way home we talked about AK v. AR stuffs and he said he'd prefer the AK over the AR .
