I've seen reports mim parts are within 3-5% the strength of standard but with a higher failure rate due to fracturing or micro fissures due to the process of casting them. With that said I've ran the shit out of mine with no issues, so i guess it's more of a lottery with these, anyone have any references on the 3-5% thing i herd of a while ago? View Quote |

Been running 2 different triggers, waiting for the AK version to go in a 16" barrel Molot RPK type.
No complaints so far. The 1st one I have run hard on a KAC SR-15 12.5" upper. 2nd one is in a 7" barrel Patriot pistol. The semi-auto position is surprising a good trigger. Single stage, but it's light enough and crisp enough. I can get very accurate shots with it. It does require a completely different trigger pull technique, which sucks, but it is actually pretty effective as a 2 round burst. |

My Gen1 echo started doing really rapid double taps in standard semi mode Sent it back to them
As stated before sent my trigger back for the normal blade size install, should be back early next week. I will post pictures when I get it in. Also interested if there notes on the discoloration that I had.

Attached File Attached File Attached File It's leaving a live one in the chamber removing busing from previous mod and trying again with old trigger lock last time was old lock also |

Final update for the night trigger is not dropping in echo after the first round dead trigger, semi works, new trigger lock does not move freely
Personally i don't think the selector is playing nice with the new parts and I'm not sure what it was our why they removed the little spring loaded lever on the left side
Anyone else that can post pics of the new trigger assembled would be appreciated

Spoke with fostech, going to try a different selector cam, lesson learned, just send it back for this modification. I will update everyone when it comes in, and to the other fellow that had them do the work, did you have a gen 1 or 2 trigger? mine was gen 1, 10 months on the waiting list.
Mine was a gen 2 that was made a few months ago. I called them for an instructional video for a range I shoot at.
That's when the topic of the longer trigger blade came up and that I could get it swapped out for $40 and shipping to them so I ended up doing it. Thats also when I realized how bad the corrosion was on the trigger from only two range trips and 1000 rounds later. But to be fair it did come off with a rag and some oil. |
You rock man, that's the problem i think they made some changes
Sent my (2) Gen 2's off Saturday for the longer trigger blade and got the email just now they are ready.
How did you guys hear about this? I haven’t seen anything about this anywhere but here
Just talking to Pete at foshtech about my video, originally the only people getting the longer blades where the folks getting warranty work and just by chance getting a normal trigger blade as part of the work.
When I said sure and that I wanted it that's when he went to his boss and ask how much they should charge for it. So it's a new thing to just send your trigger in for just a standard blade length. |

The nub at the end of the Allen wrench was the problem the new one doesn't have it, everything is working good now And boy do i feel like an idiot, looks like that other guy was #1 on this mod, I'll just claim a modest second placeon this one |
In case anyone didn't know/see, previous fostech customers are being given 100 off on echo triggers.
If you want to order multiple you have to call to place the order. |

I have the newest Gen 2 with full size trigger bow, is the improved trigger lock spring still applicable for the newest Gen 2s?
I shot my gen 1 with the upgraded trigger lock spring and the new trigger lock from fostech so I can run a standard bolt carrier group. I used an H2 buffer and it ran 100%. Before the new trigger lock spring, I was running a Carbine buffer and I had occasional issues with bolt bounce. It think it’s good now. 500 rounds today and it ran perfect.
What are your thoughts on downgrading to just an H buffer from the current H2? |
Can someone give me the link to someone on here selling the springs to make the trigger pull lighter. Can’t seem to find it.
I think the guy who used to be selling the upgrade springs on here started a website... I just got my upgrade spring from TriggerDepot.com and they are awesome. Easy install. 2 pound trigger with the 3-gun, 3 pound trigger with the tactical. I love mine.
Ahh, i see that post above mine, i think thats him even. Nice dude.
Sent fostech an email through their website not sure if I’ll hear back, have an echo 2 and need the newest selector or a way to mod mine to keep it from walking over to safe while firing.

I have the gen 2 and had to purchase the improvement spring. I must say it definitely improved the trigger. Then I discovered later that there is a 3 gun spring that lessens the pull by 1 pound for both semi and echo. Does anyone have this and like it? Do you feel the difference if you have used both?
I'm just wondering if semi is too light to pull. I enjoy the semi function, but unsure if 1 pound less will ruin my experience. Also I feel that in echo mode, it still has a heavy pull, also wondering if the 3 gun spring will make me like it more. |

Has anyone had any problems running the lightest spring (3-gun)? I have the tactical spring and it’s great compared to factory. I am interested in the lighter spring but I don’t know if I would have light primer strikes or if it’s ok due to the hammer/trigger springs already factory installed.

I received my echo 2 trigger over the weekend. I noticed a chip in the hammer's (primary?) sear surface. There's a matching raised edge on the trigger's mating surface. It almost looks like it was ground into the hammer on purpose. I don't know if this "notch" is intentional or just poor QC. Take a look at it and the triggers surface. I can FEEL the notch on semi-auto. If this is intentional (based on the 'trigger' side's matching raised surface), what purpose would it serve? https://i.imgur.com/nFn66FI.jpg https://i.imgur.com/uHqbbPQ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/mz130Vm.jpg https://i.imgur.com/SFBoaXW.jpg View Quote |

Anyone have a chance to fire both the BFS3 and the echo? How do they compare? I own 2 BFS3s with zero issues. Been thinking of the echo for a new build.

Spoke to a person there via Email. They are eager to get me all squared away.
Question for the metallurgical and fabrication folks: Are these echo II triggers made via "investment casting"? -just curious |
I sold my trigger, needed some $. Kinda wish I didn’t have to. Maybe one day I will get another but for now I hope everyone else has fun.

For the $ they should be milled from billet S7. Will wait until they improve the quality. I bought one that was so poorly made it looked like Wolverine put it together while watching "home videos" of Jean Grey.

Hey folks,
I brought my Echo ARII-eqipped AR9 to the range for the first time to test and sight it in. It seemed to work fine when function-testing it at home. However, at the range, I started to notice the following in Semi: 1st trigger pull > gun fires > trigger released > no issue. 2nd trigger pull > nothing > trigger released > gun fires! 3rd trigger pull > gun fires > trigger released > no issue. 4th trigger pull > nothing > trigger released > gun fires! Anyone experience something similar? I contacted FosTech and they said to send it in, including the manual w/ QC initials. I haven't inspected the trigger yet, but will take it apart this evening. Safe and Echo modes seem to work as expected. Edit: Seems to be the same issue as this guy's Echo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KASPbY13l-w Thanks, Mike |

Does you safety selector have a hard stop on binary? I know there been issues with people triggers acting funky if the selector isn't installed correctly
