The fronts look to be the same diameter, it is just the rear as they taper towards the back. Bite the bullet and buy a set (or two) now before the price goes higher. If you troll the EE regularly you can find real Colt 6 holers for $50ish. (Yeah or higher too. Some asking WAY higher and they got it too!) I just got a set for $8 shipped but I won't rub it in. 
(I THOUGHT I'd hit the mother lode but the rest turned out to be skinny 7 holers and fat m4 guards so I didn't buy them.) |

Here's what I did with mine. Colt lower, retro furniture. The hand guard isn't what I wanted exactly, but the price was right. I know this isn't a correct clone of anything, but it's fun hitting steel at pistol range.
